Description of 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS |
This was a California car that I bought in the desert (Palm Springs) a number of years ago. My understanding is that the VIN is consistent with a real factory SS. A lot of the work was done in the desert, ome of it in NJ when I sold our house in Cali and moved the car by truck to NJ. It has always been garaged, ight now in a secure high rise self parking garage attached to my apartment building. The car is not driven in rain or winter. There are no rust issues. I have done a resto-mod update on it with the parts mentioned below. The paint was updated about 6 years ago. The odometer show miles since the tranny was installed. This car is a fast mover but very drivable. I didn't want a show car, wanted a fun car so that's what I built. I wanted it to go fast, urn fast, top fast, nd sound fast. And that's what it does! There are no major issues, lbeit the parking brake does not work and some chips in the paint that are minor and easily taken care of. The Vintage Air alternator was recently replaced. The A/C blows cold. 1972 Chevelle SS Modifications: GM 385 Fast Burn Crate Motor, eads ported and polished, anifold polished. 1.6/2.2 valves Vintage Air Front Runner pulley system Crane Camshaft Rob Thorley Headers MSD ignition Keisler Engineering Modified Tremac 5 Speed Manual Transmission 12 Bolt 3:73 rear end with Eaton Posi-traction Dana axles with C-Clip eliminators Hotchkiss Upper and lower control arms Global West Tubular Control Arms (front suspension) 1"Front and rear sway bars Quick ratio power steering Eibech Springs, owered 1" Idit 17"aluminum wheels Be Cool aluminum radiator with electric fans Baer Track Claws 13 inch front disc brakes Wilwood 12 inch rear disc brakes Custom dash with Autometer instruments, Vintage Air Gen IV A/C Electrical completely re-wired with proper Painless Performance Wiring Kit Custom Audio with 2 10" subwoofers built into trunk panels, wo power amps, ioneer head with Bluetooth phone and audio connections |
