Please serious buyers only....please do not bid if you don't have the funds to purchase this car. Check with your wife, ignificant other, urchaser of your car that you need to sell to be able to buy this one...all that good stuff....I had to relist due to bidders who don't live up to their commitments. Myapologies to the grief this has caused the serious buyers.Up for auction is a 1966 Corvette Convertible that needs complete assembly and restoration. I purchased this project exactly as you see it in 1992. I havemany vehicles in my collection that I restored or am in the process of restoring and I just will not get to everything, o unfortunately some must go. This entire car had been disassembled and the paint was stripped to the fiberglass gel coat prior to me purchasing it. The good news here is most of the tough disassembly work has been done and there is no hidden fiberglass damage. The front nose was being replaced and there are new GM fenders included, ut the fenders need to be glued in along with the front nose pieces (not included) around the grill. The car has been in dry storage since I purchased it in 1992. The bird cage is in excellent condition showing no signs of rust and the chassis looks great also. The doors are mounted and they open and latch closed with the door mechanisms. The car is a non matching numbers project. I'm not certain whether the car was originally a big block car, owever it does have the big block hood and the number of leafs on the rear spring and part numbers on the front springs indicate they belong on a big block vehicle. The dashboard, n the other hand, oes not have the highertachometer gauge redlinethat I would think would be present on a big block car. You'll need to investigate this more if this is of particular interest to you. The dashboard is just placed in and not held in place with all the fasteners. The differential may be original to the car, ut I can't make out the numbers well. Looks to be a 3.36:1 gear ratio. It spins nicely and I would think other than seals it may usable as is. The engine is a big block from around 1972 and looks to be a 402 cubic inch, est I can tell, lease verify based on the numbers shown. Engine suffix on right side pad is CLB.The engine does not turn, ut I didn't go too crazy trying, ut please assume it needs a complete rebuild. The transmission is non original and looks to be partially there and missing some internals. Not sure the tranny is of much use, ou may need to supplement parts at best to get it to be usable. The car is missing quite a few parts. Take a look at the photos closely as I photographed everything I have for it. If you don't see the item in the photo it does not come with this sale. Below are a list of known items that are missing, owever this is certainly not all inclusive. Again, f you don't see it in the photo it is missing. There will be a bill of sale only provide, there are not ownership or title paperwork included in this sale.
