Description of 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS5 |
|
This is a RARE opportunity for a Chevelle Super Sport enthusiast to own an allORIGINAL Super Sport LS5 454 Survivor. The odometer shows 86,000 miles and has not rolled over. This Chevelle SS comes in a rare and desired color combination of Forest Green on green interior. The car was found sitting in a garage in Ohio. It had been there since 1982 and was last registered in 1981. The original owner bought the car from Butler Chevrolet in New London, onnecticut. He kept meticulous maintenance records including a handwritten log in a hard covered notebook (please see pics). This notebook as well as the original Build Sheet and owners' manual will be included in the sale of this car. The second owner lived in Ohio. He drove the car from 1979 — 1980. He then sold the car to his younger brother who drove the car until 1982 and then parked it in the garage. It remained in that garage until a few months ago and, n fact, till has the original license plate on it. I was told that the car was started every so often to keep the valve stem seals from drying out. I thoroughly inspected the car and the following work was done after pulling it from 33-years of indoor storage:
Overall, his original Chevelle is in very good condition: ENGINE/TRANSMISSION/REAR-END
