Description of 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS

1963 IMPALA SUPER SPORTHello. thanks for taking the time to see my 1963 Impala Super Sport I am selling. The Impala is a very restorable example needing work from a professional restorer unlike myself. I will list the good and bad points:Good:-Straight body with some dings mostly in the driver's door area (see pics). straight frame. umpers etc. -Original trim décor (wheel covers etc)--Fairly new tires-Transmission & clutch seem to work good (never took the Impala on the open road yet to shift all manual gears )Bad:-Rear trunk/body mount & floor brace rust through areas (see pics)-Poor floor pan replacement from prior owner (see pics) needs to be redone professionally (atleast I would). Hood has a few holes though have rust free hood that goes with the Impala. -Tank has bad gas so will run fuel from a temporary small container to move Impala. engine does run and transmission shifts in gear fine (have not driven it though). -Interior hideous to look at. Needs to be returned back to stock (have 1964 SS Bucket seats & rear seats in black that can go if a deal is worked out)-Not original engine. late 1970's Chevrolet V8 according to engine block numbers. By research most common engines were the 283 & 327 V8's which could of been one or the other when the car was new (have no way to confirm though). -Tachometer does not register the engine RPMIf you want more photos. by all means let me know and I will do so. Also if you are in the area feel free to contact me to see the Impala in person with a fine tooth comb. I can put it on a lift for you to see everything. If you live out of state and may have a friend or relative they are welcome to see the Impala as well. just contact me. If there is anymore information you would like again. please let me know. no question is too small. Please only bid if you are a veteran Ebay bidder. 0 and (-) bidders will be deletedOn Dec-13-14 at 12:47:33 PST. seller added the following information:1963 IMPALA SUPER SPORTHello. thanks for taking the time to see my 1963 Impala Super Sport I am selling. See latest pictures. the body braces attach to back of the left and right hand trunk sheet metal. The are located right behind the rear of the tires see attachment of a pic I took from the web. Unfortunately they are vulnerable to rust from rain. irt etc. This affects all 1958-1964 Impalas. el airs. & Biscayne models that drove in rainy or snow areas (so if your in the market for an Impala in this year range '58-'64. make sure you get photos of these areas no matter how good the car looks on the outside). The braces are sold readily aftermarket for around $70. 00 each. If I knew how to weld I would replace them myself. thanks and let me know if you have anymore questions.
