Description of 1952 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, ERY ORIGINAL, font>1952 CHEVROLET 3100 PICK UP TRUCK... OLDERFRAME OFF RESTORATION THAT STILL LOOKS GREAT...READY TO SHOW AND GO!!!
If you have been searching for a beautiful, rofessionally restored Early 1950's Chevrolet Pick up truck and want one that has not been modified like so many of the classic trucks on the market then this Cream Colored, -window '52 just might be the one you have been looking for!!!This is truly one that stands heads and shoulders above most and is a turn key investment quality truck you can drive and enjoy!!

This gorgeous cream colored classic '52 Chevrolet 3100 arrived to us several months ago from a gentleman in Kentucky who is in the real estate business and also dabbles in classic cars. He had purchased it about a year ago from a gentleman in Texas who had it restored about 10 years prior to that. That guy owned a construction business and wanted a fun old pick up truck that he could put his company logo on and go back and forth to his office in. I was told that this was originally a rust free California truck before it made its way to Texas and judging from what I see that makes perfect sense. The gentleman in Texas had a professional restoration shop completely strip the truck down to bare metal and supposedly did a frame off restoration. Again, s you will see in the pics the condition of the truck is consistent with what I was told. At the time of restoration he had what is believed to be the original Thriftmaster 216 6 cylinder rebuilt and the odometer was set back to zero. The odometer now reads a little under 3500 miles so as you can see the truck was driven sparingly since the restoration. He had his logo painted on the doors and the gentleman from Kentucky had the doors sanded down and repainted and the color match is excellent. We have owned quite a few 1947-1957 Chevrolet trucks over the years and the majority of them have been rest-mods which is nice, ut there is something to be said for a stock, riginal, lassic Chevy pick up!!! While they may not be trucks that you are going to take on long trips, nd may not be as highway friendly as the modifieds, hey will still draw all the smiles and thumbs up you can handle and are a lot of fun on local drives or to the local shows and cruise-ins. I am confident the next lucky owner of this '52 will throughly enjoy it. I will do my best to provide enough large images and an honest description to help you decide if this is the classic truck you have been looking for. These are great trucks to use to promote a business if that is something you are thinking of. With fall approaching this truck would be awesome to load up some pumpkins and some hay and run around town in!! As with all of our classics we do have this truck advertised on several other sites as well as our own. Therefore, f you decide this is the one for you I encourage you to call me to discuss making that happen before the next car guy or gal beats you to it. Sit back and enjoy!
As you will see in the walk around photo tour of the body below, he body is really in exceptional condition. I am calling the color cream, owever it has a light gray tint to it which really looks great. The overall paint quality is excellent!! Body panels are really straight and the body panel fit is great. Doors open and shut nicely. We decided to have our good friend and highly talented old school pin-stripe artist come out and lay down some great accent striping. Some of the chrome trim had started to show signs of age so we replaced whatever needed to be so that everything looks as good as the rest of the body. This included the chrome grille and front and rear bumpers. The wood bed was also showing its age so we bought new pine and had it finished off nicely and installed. At this time we were able to get a good look at the frame under the wood and again it seemed to confirm that this was a frame off restoration done years ago. All of the glass looks excellent and it is also matching tinted glass. Windows roll up and down nicely. I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking but overall this is a super nice truck that will win its share of trophies at the local shows if that is what you enjoy. It is not flawless and it is not a trailer queen nor is it priced that way. This will make an excellent investment and should offer lots of fun and memories to the next buyer. Take a look:

Here is a closer up look at some of the hand pin-stripe work done by Larry from Conways Customs. The color of the striping is more orange then it appears in the pics. I think the pics make it look like red at times but it is more of a chevy orange color. The tailgate letters are painted on, ot decals.
Complimenting the cream colored exterior is a very original looking gray interior. The seat was recovered in a great gray, uede-like fabric that is very comfortable and will not burn your legs and butt in those summer months. For the most part I think the rest of the interior is pretty much bone stock with the exception of the added aftermarket stereo. All of the lights and gauges appear to be functioning correctly. Wipers do work and so does the heat. Turn signals were added and the original steering wheel looks excellent. Weatherstripping looks to all have been replaced. Original style rubber floor mat with starter pedal in place. The lever under the dash opens the vent in front of the windshield to allow outside air in to the cabin. Functional simplicity!! Take a look inside:

Pop the hood on this classic '52 and it looks pretty much as it would have 60+ years ago. As previously mentioned we were told that the 216 Thriftmanster 6 cylinder was rebuilt about 10 years ago by the previous owner. It fires up nicely and runs well. Lets remember that this is a 60+ year old truck and it is not a truck that you want to be trying to do 70 mph on the highway for too long. It is a great little truck to ride around the local roads and enjoy but not the truck you are going to go on any cross country trips in. This truck was left as an original 6V and not upgraded to modern 12v. All of the electronics seem to function fine so we did not bother to do this upgrade. However, f this is something you decide to do it is a relatively cheap conversion that most any experience mechanic can perform and the parts are readily available. This truck still has the original 3-speed on the column and it shifts nicely. We noticed an occasional grinding going fem 2nd to third which may just be a simple adjustment in linkage. It breathes out the stock manifold and single exhaust. It has an original oil bath air cleaner. Again, icely detailed under the hood so you would be proud to op the hood at the local shows and cruse-in events. The undercarriage, rame, loorpans etc look awesome and are rock solid with no rust issues. The truck hands nicely ( as nicely as you would expect a stock original '52 to ride) and sits on a beautiful set of wide whitewall tires with original wheels and hub caps. Here is a look under the hood and under the truck:

Hopefully you can see from the pics that this is truly a sweetheart of a truck that was professionally restored to a very nice level. It can also be driven and enjoyed and should win its share of awards at the local shows if desired. It is definitely a shrewd investment and the savvy buyer will call me to make sure they scoop it up before the next car guy or gal grabs it.
