CUSTOM LEATHER INTERIOR. AND MORE. READY TO SHOW AND GO!! Have you been searching for a high quality. professionally restored. Classic Chevrolet 3100 Pick-up truck?Do you want one that has been updated with a fresh crate 350 V8. Automatic overdrive transmission. Power disc brakes. ice cold air conditioning and can truly be driven and enjoyed?Would you love to have a custom leather interior with power bucket seats?Do you want the truck to retain a vintage look but have a great Hot Rod Stance and sound like a Hot Rod should??Well. if you have been shaking your head yes then this gorgeous blue '49 Chevy 3100 may be the one you have been waiting for! A gentleman from Virginia who had owned quite a few classic cars over the years decided the next classic on his bucket list was a '47-53 Chevrolet 3100 Pick up truck that looked relatively original but that would have a more modern drive train and amenities that would make it fun to drive to the shows and cruise-ins. After locating a relatively rust free '49 Chevy 3100 he commissioned a professional Hot Rod Restoration shop to build the truck of his dreams. We were told that budget was really not an issue and that when it was all said and done he spent over $70. 00 on this gorgeous medium blue Hot Rod Chevy Pick-up. After paying the bill and going for his first drive in this beauty. reality set in that he really never anticipated. He was a big man. about 6 ft 4 and close to 400 lbs. Bottom line. even with the modern Mercedes leather bucket seats he simply was not comfortable driving the truck. So. unfortunately while he loved the build process he knew he would not be able to enjoy the truck. His loss for sure but someone else is surely going to get an absolutely beautiful truck at a fraction of the cost to build it. maybe you??? I will do my best to provide enough large images. a video so you can hear the truck start up and running. and an honest description to help you decide if this truck is the one for you. Sit back and enjoy! This was a frame-off restoration completed in the past year. and we were told the original cab was in great condition so it was stripped to bare metal and used in the build. Evidently the original bed had a number of dings and dents from years of use so a new. all steel bed was purchased. The same goes for the fenders and running boards which are all brand new steel components. This is an all steel build. no fiberglass! The workmanship is high end and was done extremely well resulting in an amazingly straight body. Anyone who knows what it takes to build a high end Hot Rod knows the time and craftsmanship it takes to build a truck that looks the way this one does in the end. The medium blue base coat/clear coat finish is stunning and very period correct looking and quite possibly the original Monaco Blue color. A custom rear roll pan was added and all new chrome trim. grille. and bumpers were used to finish off the body. A custom one piece glass windshield was used which looks great and all new grey tinted glass was used in the rest of the cab. The wood bed is a beautiful accent to the blue body and was also professionally finished to a show quality light oak finish with polished strips. Fuel tank was installed beneath the bed with fuel filler built in to the wood bed. The tailgate works great and has a hidden latch system in place of the traditional hook and chains. This is a very fresh restoration and with very few miles since the build so the body is in near flawless condition. I would definitely consider it to be show quality. We know a great old school pin striper. Larry from Conway's Customs. who we called upon to lay down some beautiful light grey accents to the slick blue body. I think the pictures will tell you the rest of the story so here is a walk around photo tour of the body: This high end build continues inside the cab with a beautiful custom pair of distressed leather bucket seats that came from a Mercedes sedan. Door panels. and headliner are wrapped in the same leather and have a great custom look that accents the quality of this truck. The drivers and passengers seats are power and although they did not accommodate the gentleman who built it they will offer plenty of room for most other drivers. The seats offer great lumbar support and are quite comfortable and ready for a long distance drive if you choose. Nice simple center console with storage and drink holders looks great. For those of you in warmer climates you will enjoy the ice cold Vintage Air Conditioning and heat when needed. Nice tilt steering column with a slightly smaller and newer Chevrolet truck steering wheel then stock. The dash combines a classic look with a great set of Omega Custom gauges so that you can monitor all the necessary components. A custom. Sony am/fm/cd/ipod stereo with remote is neatly installed in the glove box with speakers installed professionally behind the front seats. Lokar shifter and custom e-brake neatly installed. Custom carpeting to match the upholstery looks fantastic. All new wiring throughout and everything works as it should. The builder also added a battery cut-off and installed very easy to access jump pods if needed inside of the passenger door area. A few more custom pin stripes applied to the dash and sides of the doors finish off this outstanding custom interior. Again. the interior is in show condition. Take a look: Of course this '49 runs as good as it looks! It also looks just as sweet under the hood and under the truck as well. A brand new Crate 350/290hp Chevrolet V8 was installed and is believed to have under 200 miles since it was finished. Edelbrock aluminum intake and 4bbl carb feed the fuel and it breathes through a great set of polished hugger headers and out the custom dual exhaust. Lots of polished aluminum and chrome under the hood including a great looking polished firewall that was custom done that really helps to show off the motor at the shows. Aluminum radiator with electric fans to help this truck run nice and cool. The chassis has been updated with a TCI Engineering front clip with power front disk brakes and manual rack and pinion steering that handles beautifully. This truck steers straight and stops straight with no issues. Of course all of the fuel lines and brake components are all brand new. Custom balanced drive shaft. Rear end is a 10 bolt Chevrolet Camaro posi-trac rear that was completely rebuilt and geared for highway driving. The crate 350 is mated to a brand new 700R4 Automatic overdrive transmission. This truck has a great stance and was lowered slightly and sits on a great looking set of Rocket wheels wrapped in brand new radials. OF course all othe springs. shocks and suspension components are brand new and this Hot Rod is ready to hit the streets!!! Take a look at the pics and be sure to listen to the video that follows to hear it start up and running.
