Description of 1965 Chevrolet Nova Chevy II

#### NO RESERVE #####

You're gawking at a tribute to the glory days and birthof the funny car. No, his car was not dragged out of barn down south where it raced in match races in mid 60s. It could absolutely pass as one, hat's for sure. This crazy machine was built by a talented young man in Wisconsin about four years ago. Since I've had it I tried to elevate it to"funny car" status. Think you've seen itsomewhere? How about on Street Outlaws (the Small Tire Shootout episode 2014). I happened to be in Salina Kanas at the KKOA Run What You Brung Drags. I no sooner pulled in when AZN and Farmtruck came over and asked for a race. Of course I took it and made the show. We had a great time and the Dung Beetle kicked my ass. My car may look fast, ut it's not really. It's really more of a street car (I have it registered for the street in Missouri). I've taken itto the HAMB Drags in Joplin, Oand to the Meltdown Drags at Byron, L. I really like to run it to show people how early drag cars looked in the mid 60s - especially as early funny cars. This rod has also been in Gears and Gals Magazine and the Meltdown Drags Special Edition of Gears and Gals Magazine. If you're not familiar with the magazine, lease check it out online. I have the article of the cars history and build and I'll try to upload ithere. Of course, 'll be glad to email it to you too. It tells every aspect of the car. Ah yes, he car. Here's the laundry list of stuff about the car:

Of course it started life as a 1965 Chevy II Nova. The body is stock with the obvious modification of the rear wheelwells asthey have been moved forward 9 inches. The rear axle has been moved forward8 inches. The front wheelshave been moved forward 4 inches. The stock gas cap was removed too. The glass is tinted blue with a film. It is all glass. The hood is fiberglass and the bumps are stock. It has factory delete back up lights. The headlights, rake lights, arking lights and signal lights work. There's no windshield wipers/or washers. The interior has all been removed. The dash is stock with a factory radio delete plate. It's got your vintage SWthree basic gauges and areproduction Sun Half Sweep Tach. You're surrounded by a six point roll cage. Don't go looking for a heater, /C, tc. It has Thunderbolt/A100 front seats. The drivers side has a five pointharness and the passenger side has a lap belt. The speedo works but I'mnot sure its accuracy. The odometer works but that's about it. There's a vintage Moon loud pedal andvintage metalflake steering wheel. The three speed shifter is homemade with a vintage shiftknob. The trunk has a 14 gallon vintage Moon tank and one of those huge truck battery's mounted on the right side with an exterior shut off lever. The 3.5 gallon Moon tank hanging off the front bumper was originally for alcohol or nitro back in the day, or me it's now the over flow for the radiator. The front frame is made of out 2X4X.125 tube and 1.75X.134 wall round tube.It has a Speedway front axle and onemodern item, isc brakes.

Let's go to the drivetrain. Starting at the front; there's an aluminum radiator,Vega steering box and 80 amp alternator. The motor is set back 2 inches. The motor is a two bolt mainpunched out 454 (bored .30 over to a 468 c.I.).It has 9:1 compression, omp extreme energy hydraulic flat tappet cam and lifters and full roller rockers. There's an 8 qt oil pan. Those crazy twisty fenderwell headers were custom made. I did not build the motor but it is not radical or built specifically to race. I'd say it's more of a mild build. The car originally came to me with a vintage Edelbrock dual quad intake with two new 600 cfm Edelbrock carbs. Of course, 've take that set up off; however, will include it with the sale of the car. The set up on it now is an older Hilborn stack injection unit that was converted to EFI. It has a MegaSpuirt 2 box and an Aeroflow electric fuel pump.It has aTH400 transTCI reverse manual valvebody and 10" 3200 stallconverter. It also has a linelock and the driveshaft is heavy duty. Out back is 1957 Ford 9 inch with 3.89 gears with a full spool and Strange 31 spline axles.

The whole thing rolls on 15X4.5 Torque Thrust D's wrapped 6.40 15 BFG Silvertown Bias Plys (Coker) up front and Towel City Pie Crust 10 inch wide cheater slicks on 15X7 stocksteel wheels painted half blue/half white like the old days.

The car drives and handles as one would expect from this crazy set up. It ani't no mountain carver. It's loud (I run it with open headers but there are baffles if you want to be a party pooper) andobnoxious. My wife will not ride in it.To some that might be good selling point. The car is not painted, t's actually in primer. The lettering is One Shot used by pin stripers. That primer is harder than Hell to keepclean. I've tried some stuff and consequently I've got some lighter areas on it where I've tried to clean it up. Frankly, f I were to keep it, 'd just have it painted. Those bitchin blue stripes are painted. The Hilborn/MegaSquirt system needs someone who knows what the devil they're doing to get it tuned up. It runs and drives but can only muster low 15s or Hight 14s in the 1/4 mile. When it had the two fours itran like a stripped ass monkey. I never had itdown the track but it would probably in the 12s. I just love the stack injectionfor the altered wheelbase funny car look.Ithink there's a link in the tranny. I'll be very honest,I'm not a mechanic. I love cars but can't work on them for crap. That's another reason I'm selling this thing. I'd love to see it with wheels hanging in the air and roaring down the track. I mainly just cruise it. People freak when I pull up by themata light.

Ok, ere's some serious stuff. You're an adult. This is eBay. I've tried to give you accurate information and photos. HaveI covered everything? Probably not. For God's sake as questions, all me or come and see it yourself. This is the first time I've sold anything on eBay, et alone a freaking car. It's listed for sale here and on other sources. It's also listed locally. I retain theright to end this sale when I want. If you win, ou come and get it. If you want itshipped somewhere I'll try to help you out but you pay all the costs associated with it.Toshow you're sincere, et's do a $500 non-refundable deposit. If you get here and hate it, hat's OK, ut I keep the 500 bucks. I'm looking for a smooth and easytransaction. No Bullshit. I'm not opposed to a trade or swap with you paying some boot (not me). I'm interested in a traditional buildModel A, 2 or maybe 33 or 34 Ford. Nothing crazy. I want to drive it anywhere. I'd be interested in an older wagon, re'65. Finally, have you priced altered wheelbase cars? They are nuts. TheWilshire Shaker went for almost $60K. Most of these thingsstart at $50K. I am nowhere near that. I think I'm being very reasonablewith a decent reserve. If you'reserious, et's do this. If not, njoy the post. You can contact me via email through eBay or byphone any day 8 am - 9 pm CST at816-560-6118 (Brad).Good luck and happy bidding.
