Description of 1966 Chevrolet Caprice

Thank you for looking at my listing. For auction is this 1966 Chevrolet Caprice Wagon. I have owned the vehicle for 2 years and have put a lot of time and a fair amount of money in the car. When I initially purchased it, here was no engine, ransmission, ront windshield, ailgate motor, eadlights, r matching rims/tires. The brakes were shot, nd engine wiring was all chopped up.
Originally this was a big block, /C, rd row wagon with a Powerglide. As stated, had no drive train when I got the car. It now has a roller-cam 305 small block out of a 92 Camaro, newly rebuilt turbo 400 transmission (done by Midwest Converter) and a brand new 3" DOM steel driveshaft going into the original 12-bolt with 3.31 gears. I has also had a new windshield installed, tailgate power motor from a later Suburban (same parts and easier to source), ew headlights, ew engine wiring harness, ragar 15" rims with newer tires (less than 500 miles). All of the brake system was replaced with new units, ncluding all 4 drums, ardware kits, hoes, ubing and lines, aster cylinder, nd brake booster.
So. Does the car drive? Yes it does! It starts, urns, rives, nd stops. That being said, ts a bit of a chore to drive. The accelerator pump on the carb recently died, ut it comes with another quadrajet to replace it. I would strongly recommend trailering the vehicle or having it shipped.
Now the $64,000 question... Why am I selling the car? Actually for a few reasons; first of all being that I just have too many cars. I already have a daily driven vehicle, nd also have a more "race" oriented car. I don't also have the space for a cruiser. Secondly, cant reasonably afford what I had planned to have done with the car (air bag suspension, lower through the hood, ark cherry paint job, tc.). Finally, nd arguably most important, e are expecting our first child come spring, o a little extra cash to prep the house could go a long way for us.
I am an ex-mechanic and currently work for a classic car advertising company, o I am pretty familiar with this car. I know that it is far from a high-dollar car, nd is also not a "desirable" body. I have always been a sucker for slightly different/awkward/ugly cars, o naturally this one caught my eye. If you want any additional photos, nformation, tc please don't hesitate to ask. The vehicle is stored about an hour from where I'm living (Thanks Mom and Dad!) so it may take me a day or two to get them. Now that I've gotten all of that out of the way...
