1971 Chevelle Malibu

By 1971, eneral Motors had reached its stride and was producing great looking cars in all of the Divisions. One of the best designs for a sporty looking car was the 1971 Chevy Malibu. It appears that General Motors finally figured out that a long nosed, hort rear deck was just what the general public wanted. GM seemed to be able to combine this in the overall design and the hardtop resulted in a very sculptured looking car.

The car in this ad meets most of the requirements for serious collectors in so far that it is a matching numbers car with an automatic transmission and upgrades with what is believed to be iron man headers. The headers are definitely not factory and the owner believes that the manufacturer is Iron Man. The car was further dressed up with Corvette wheels that we think are absolutely outstanding. However, he private seller wants potential bidders to know that he still has the original factory wheels and original tires (as shown in the attached pictures). The air cleaner has been upgraded but the original air breather goes with the car as well as the original valve covers. Furthermore the car comes with the original service manual, runk sticker, oor labels (which were removed when the car was painted and MOST IMPORTANTLY the original build sheet (see photo of the authentic build sheet).

In terms of condition, OW! We recommend that you to take a good look at the photos to see the detail, ven the trunk and the underside show very nice. The car was painted in 2008 and the owner believes that the odometer that reads 79,299 is the original miles. The owner has stated that he first saw this car when his friend bought it several years ago. He admits that he had serious car envy for this car from day one when his friend bought it. Finally after many years the friend finally sold it to him. Now due to some personal reasons he is in a position to let it go to another car guy. The owner has indicated that is a no rust car and as far as he knows it has been repainted once.

Here at MissChiTown we find this car most attractive and consider the upgrades all in exceptionally good taste. However it is good to know that the original wheels & tires, ir cleaner and valve covers are all included in the package so that the car is basically complete as it left the factory.

In reference to the running condition, he owner has indicated that it purrs like a kitten and goes down the road just as you expect it to do. It would make a wonderful tour car, he owner tells us the farthest trip he has taken is about 65 mile round trip. We think you will agree that this car would be a hit at the local car shows!

This car has a very reasonable reserve on it and would certainly be a nice addition to any collection but would also make a wonderful first collector vehicle for somebody.
