Description of 1970 Chevrolet Camaro |
This is one of the nicest original 1970 Camaro's I've seen. This car was built in LA and stayed in southern California until 5 years ago. It has a very strong running 350 CI motorwhich is not matching numbers as far as I can see. Behind that is a fresh Th400 which hits (shifts)niceand a 10 bolt posi rear. This car runs fantastic and sounds great. Factory power steering, isc brakes,A/, inted glass, ilt wheel, eluxe interior car from California with only 65,000 original miles on it. The A/C components are not present. The deluxe Black interior is in excellent original condition. Needs nothing. It had a mild restoration done in 2011 which included it's fresh paint job in the original color (Shadow Grey), ngine and tranny were rebuilt and general freshen up of the car, eather striping and such. They paid great attention to staying with OEM parts. Under the hood looks great with GM hoses, orrect hose clamps and clips, ecals etc. With the exception of the MSD box it really looks original. There is no evidence that any body work was done as she wears all of the original panels as far asI can tell. Under the car and in the trunk have the factory under coating, aint etc. andit all looksperfect. All new brakes including calipers, otors and drums, agle 15" Alloys with new tires, xhaust, tc. The paint still looks near perfect but there are a few minor chips which were touched up in the past. No dings. The worst, nd really the only flaw, nbsp;is the fiberglass cowl style scoop they grafted onto the steel hood. It has separation showing in the upper corners near the windshield. Could be re-glassed in, et another hood or leave it. I do show a close up in the walk around video. In summary, his is a very clean California 2nd Gen.Camaro that doesn't need a thing. She looks gorgeous inher Silver paintwith the black stripes and black interior. Very nice. You wont find a nicer more honest car that hasn't been messed with. This car was purchased at Mecum Auctions in Illinois. I have the official bill of sale from them along with a open Illinois title from the consignor. The winner willsee on the bill of sale that way more was paid for this car than my reserve.
