Description of 1956 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100 |
Selling my 1956 Chevy Patina Big Back Window Stepside Hot Rod Pickup. I built this truck from a an all original pickup I took out of Lake Elisnore in Southern California in 2000. While keeping the original paint mostly intact, verything else has been modified and fabricated. Notable touches include the grafting of a 1956 Chevy passenger car dash in place of the original dash, ouvered hood and bed pan, orvette IRS, amaro Subframe, intage Air, ilt, ower steering, ower windowsm and beds tub that look stock to fit the 15 x 10 Halibrand rims. Here are the details: Chassis Original chassis modified with Corvette Independent Rear Suspension and Camaro front subframe. The truck rolls on 15 x 6 front Halibrand rims and 15x 10 Halibrand rims wrapped in BFGoodrich rubber. The truck has power steering and a dual master cylinder to operated the four wheel disc brakes along with a remote reservoir in the engine bay. Borgeson stainless u-joints are used along with a stainless double-d shaft. Chassis also has new brake and fuel lines. The mufflers are Flowmasters. Chassis rebuilt one year ago with Moog chassis parts and Monroe shocks. Engine Drivetrain consists of a crate Small Block Chevy 350 cid motor with Edlebrock manifold, olley carburetor, nd Corvette valve covers. The engine is backed by a 700 R-4 transmission to the previously mentioned Vette IRS. Body Body features a Brothers Truck aluminum gas tank moved to under the bed and accessed from the passenger side rear fender, ouvered hood and bed pan, riginal distressed wood bed, 7 Ford taillights with 37-style Zephyr plastic lenses and Trique Engineering bear claw door latches. Interior On the interior, he focus of the truck is the 1956 Passenger car dash to replace the original dash. The dash is outfitted with the Classic Instruments Bel-Era Gauge Package and Flaming River 56 tilt steering column with shortened 56 car steering wheel. Shifting chores are handled by a Genie Shifter. The speedometer is operated by a Classic Instruments SkyDrive. Carpeting comes from ACC Carpets which covers the Dynamat and Dynaliner sound and heatproofing. Power windows from a 78 Cadillac move the windows up and down with ease. The driver is kept comfortable by a powerful Vintage Air heat and A/C systems retrofitted into the dash with stock-style vents. The comfortable seat is from a Chevy Silverado pickup. Incidentals US Radiator with steel shroud and Spal Fan American Autowire Highway 22 kit Door poppers for entry What doesn't work The Horn The Radio (the original passenger car radio is installed for looks) and that's it. The body isn't perfect, ut has the look that is so popular right now and is mechanically sound This is a great running an driving hot rod truck that cruises nicely, tarts easily and turns heads wherever it goes. If the winning bidder needs the truck shipped, will accomodate the shipper on my end, ut the winning bidder to handle the details and payment of shipping. The truck is available for inspection prior to end of auction in Indianapolis, ndiana. I did my best to accurately describe the condition of this truck and am selling it to finish my other project. That being said, his truck is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. If you have any questions, lease feel free to ask!
