Description of 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
Beautiful Red 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Sedan Mechanically sound. only needing cosmetic touchups. All systems seem to be in working order; starts. runs and stops. Engine is a 283 that has been rebuilt previously during an earlier restoration. The engine runs strong and has nice power behind it. The engine features custom parts such as a Summit Racing 650 Competition Carburetor. Polished Aluminum 4 BBL Intake. Chrome Water Intake. Chrome Water Pump. Chrome Timing Cover. Chrome Alternator and Brackets. Chrome Valve Covers and Air Filter. The car also has a rebuilt TH350 Transmission with New Torque Converter. The body has some rust beginning to show through the rockers as well as surface rust coming out along side of the driver's roof right above the door. In addition. there is a push dent. easily repairable. in the left quarter panel just behind the driver's door. The chrome appears to be in original condition. pretty fair. There is some pitting on the pot metal pieces. but I have included a replacement grill to replace the one that is currently installed. Both of the bumpers are fairly straight and appear to be original. The floors were repaired during a previous restoration and are solid; the trunk appears to be solid and original. The interior is in decent condition overall. The rear seat appears to be original and not showing any signs of rips or tears. The doors and side panels are original and mostly intact. The carpet and headliner and dash are in fair condition. The stereo system currently installed is an 80's aftermarket stereo system that still works and sounds good. The head unit is mounted in the stock radio opening and there is a power amp with equalizer located under the dash on the passenger's side. The front seat . although not original. is fairly comfortable with no sagging or popping springs. All of the glass is very good and the windows work. The odometer does not seem to be working properly and shows 109k miles. The car has three extra hub caps that will be included along with a set original 1956 license plates that could be re-registered to the car if purchased by a Virginian resident. You won't find another '56 Chevy like this one! Treat yourself or surprise your loved one with a dream car this holiday season. This would be a fantastic project car or an absolute head-turner just as it is. What are you waiting for? Just get in. turn the key. and drive away today! |
