Description of 1969 Chevrolet Corvette |
1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Vin# 194379S733688 - Clear TX title I’m selling this Corvette for the current owner who has had it for over 25 years. I drive it every weekend to charge the battery and circulate fluids. It runs effortlessly at 70 mph @ 3000 rpm and 80mph @ 3500rpm. The engine starts on first crank and runs strong. The car drives and tracks straight. Speedometer shows 119K miles and the owner had engine rebuilt at 100K miles with Teflon-coating to top end and lower crank assembly. This Corvette has a period correct rebuilt 350 300HP V8 that is a replacement for the original engine. Both the TH-400 automatic transmission and rear differential are original units.Body Tag reads: CHEVROLET TRIM - Z04 PAINT - 990 ( Monaco Orange) Monaco Orange is the original, factory paint color and the owner decided not to paint the car so that the new owner can see condition of body panels. This car has a solid body with no damage and the next owner can determine the level of paint job. The Owner received a quote for a paint job for $750 to sand down to primer, spray with primer/sealer, and then spray a coat of enamel and final top coat with enamel UV protector. The front valance was damaged by his wife when she stopped too close to a parking lot curb - a new one is included. The Stingray emblems, checkered flag emblems, side vents, rear bumpers, etc. have been removed in preparation for paint. No cracks or damage to the body. All parts and hardware have been bagged and marked for ease of installation after new paint.
This is an all original Corvette except for headers/side pipes and VB&P Poly Leaf Springs. It is a prime candidate for a partial or full restoration, depending on the level of effort you want to perform and the amount you want to spend. This engine starts easily, choke works properly and the engine runs strong. It is mechanically sound and dependable - can be used as a daily driver until time of restoration. This car will be 50 years old in 3 years and the value will only increase. Options on this Corvette include:
