Description of 1949 Chevrolet Other

Up for bids is this 1949 chevrolet fleetline. It has a 216 inline 6 with a three on the tree man. trans. The car appears to be almost 90% original including the original black lacquer paint. The car starts, runs, drives, shifts and stops like it should. All I have done to this car is a little clean up and put a new 6 volt battery in. I also changed the dated 1951 tires with some newer tires but they still have tubes in them. The paint is getting thin as you might expect. The floor boards feel great and the only rust I have seen is the front bottom of the rear passenger side fender. You can also see the is a scrape in the paint on that fender.Looks like a garage hit.Not really any dent there mainly paint. There is a few more holes in the spare tire well than should be but thats it on rust.Interior is pretty clean as you can see.The heater controll valve was bypassed but it still has heat. The blower works. The dual horns sound great.I could not get the radio to work.Speedo and all gauges are working, not sure on the accuracy of the fuel gauge. The engine runs pretty good.maybe a slight miss.A little top end noise.I`m sure the valves could stand adjusting.A little blow by but all in all runs pretty good.Just being brutal honest I don`t want any surprises.I have driven the car about 50 miles around town and out in the country. The drivers door was changed for some reason .I don`t know why and yes it is dark blue. There is a set of fender skirts in the trunk.but the are not original to the car. This car does not have the mounting brackets on the rear fender wells. But the skirts are correct for the car.A few other parts in the trunk including a new pair of shocks. This car is located in north west Kansas.About 4 hours east of Denver and about 4 hours east of Topeka along interstate 70. I expect paid a deposit of $500.00 within 4 days of auctions end.I expect the car to be paid in full within 2 weeks of auctions end.You have 4 weeks to pick up the car unless you have made arrangements with me prior to auctions end. Please ask any ?`s you may have. You can call if you like.1-785-675-1197. The title is a free and clear Kansas title. I want to add this. This is a 67 year old automobile. Please be realistic. There are dings, cratches, efects and flaws. It is not a restored car.It is a very solid car.and very original. No I would not try to drive it back to New York
