Description of 1972 Chevrolet C-10 |
1972 Chevrolet C10 This 1972 Chevrolet C10 SWB "Rest-Mod" was a complete frame-off restoration completed in early 2015. The truck has too much to list so I'll start with what sets it apart from your average build. First, it's got a monster engine with 600+ hp. The race inspired Small Block Chevy 421 cubic inch crate motor combined with the Hedman Headers, 3" Stainless Exhaust and Borla mufflers is serious business and the rumble will make anyone think twice about making challenging threats at the stop light on a lonely stretch of road. It has comfort and convenience features like vintage a/c, power steering, air suspension, disc brakes, tilt steering and a retro stereo capable of playing your favorite iPod list. The paint/body took over 1 year to complete and while this was longer than the 10 day deadline on my favorite Velocity Channel/TV car show, you can actually look at the paint from up close and know an honest to goodness artisan was hard at work. The fit and finish is quite amazing!! The tailgate was welded & shaved and the gas tank filler was rerouted to the tubbed-out fender wells inside the bed. The original grill & front bumper were replaced with a 1970 model to lose the blinkers in the bumper which were added on the C10 by 1972. A painless wiring harness was professionally installed and will ensure you have no wiring issues in the future. Anyone that has every worked on an old car knows it's these details that make all the difference. The air suspension auto levels or you can manually raise and lower the vehicle to your liking. Other touches like LED tail lights, all new interior and Cragar style 18" black powder coated wheels really tie the truck together. This truck was from Central Texas and came as an original "RUST FREE" 1/2 ton V8 short-wheel-base truck. Just 1k miles since completed restoration. We have stacks of receipts from Summit Racing, JEGS and other noteworthy re-sellers of high performance & restoration parts. This truck couldn't be duplicated for anywhere near the asking price not to mention it would take a long time! In June 2015 this truck was professionally appraised and rated as an excellent #1 condition restoration. Some of the build specs and receipts include...
