I've owned this car for over 25 years. I took the body off the frame 10 years ago had the frame powdercoated (black) and completely went through the entire car. All glass, rubber, etc. was taken off the car for the paint which is a base coat clear coat PPG black. The motor is supposed to be the original 265 cu in V8 and it was a dual four motor, extremely rare! The transmision is a Munci M21 with Chevelle bench seat floor linkage. I do not have the original carburation but have put a 3x2's set up on it, Rochester carbs. I had the engine machine shop built and had them install a 30 30 Duntov solid lifter cam, original grind. Everything on the car is new: Electric windows, Dakota Digital dash, grill, badges, tail lights, Newport electric wiper system, radiator, brake system, American wiring kit, all glass, rubber products, rechroming throughout, all stainless polished, I chrome plated the brake, throttle linkage, and clutch pedal linkage, entire heater assembly, and window garnish mouldings, hood hinges, the list goes on. Air ride system front and rear. 1966 Nova 10 bolt rearend, with 20's and 18's chrome American five spokes, disc brakes on front with 2" dropped spindles. The body was absolutely perfect before I started this project. No rust ever, no panels replaced. It is absolutely perfect down the sides, laser straight. The interior is original reproduction correct Belair black and white except for the rugs. I used German wool square weave. There is only a little over 330 miles on the car since the restoration project was completed. I truly believe this is one of the finest 56's in existence.
