This 57 Chevy is a great canvas for a valuable hardtop project. While over 166,000 '57 Belair hardtops were built, only 22,000 were 210 2 door hardtops. Fortunately if you desire to upgrade to the Belair trim, all of the trim and cosmetics almost always needs to be replaced anyway on these 62 year old Classics, and it is readily available. While I have collected, admired, and back in the 70's and 80's have judged these tri-five beloved classics, this one is priced to sell quickly to bless a younger enthusiast wanting to break into the classic Chevy collectors market on a budget. The story is that between sometime in the 80's and 2014, two older gentlemen traded this car back and forth, and eventually wanted to restore it back to its former glory. That is why it hasn't really been worked on since the late 70's, except for the brakes. The original Tropical Turquoise and India Ivory was changed to Red in the 70's, and a white diamond tuck interior replaced the original. In the '70's the seats were removed, the floors were patched in the rocker areas before any patch panels were available. The patches appear strong, but not correct for an exact restoration. An ancient rollbar is installed, but easily removed. The original hood is custom louvered, and appears to be very well done. The trunk is essentially rust free, even the original shock mounts. The ends of the tailpan area like all of them have some rust. Inner quarters have some rust, but for this age of a classic, plus it's been off of the road for over 40 years and under a carport, it is very much restorable. Two extra right front fenders are included, one is very nice to replace the original right front fender. Some captains chairs are included. Now that all panels are available, as well as the entire body, it can be properly restored. Original 283 2Bbl is long removed, the original 2Bbl carb being the only remaining artifact. It is SBC or LS ready. Original driveshaft and rearend included, and the original gas tank is still installed. The transmission tunnel has never been cut open. Original keys for the ignition, doors, and trunk. Has a '55 (55G) date code radiator if you desire to keep it old school. It's always been a power glide automatic V8 car. This is a great sport coupe to pro-tour or make any type of head turning street machine you desire. It is priced to sell this week. I will work with your shipper to get it loaded. $1000 deposit due upon winning the auction, or the entire amount if you have it in hand, and don't have to wait on a bank. No reserve, so bid to own it. No trades, cash only. Feel free to make an offer. For some reason eBay does not give an option of a Make Offer button. Thank you for looking, and Happy Bidding!
