Description of 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

1955 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop 327 4 speed. The car is exactly as Ipurchased it 12 years ago except for new tiresandfront hubs. It's been well maintained and driven to shows and cruises in the Pa, NJ, Del area. The car's been driven in traffic and on the highway although I've never driven it in the rain.This is a clean, rust free, dent free, 61 year old car. The non original paint and interior show well butarenot perfect.Stainless, glass, and chrome are good. The headliner is white. VIN and cowl tags are intact. I believethe carwas originally blackwith a 6 cyl 3 spd. Ipurchased it after it was repainted so there could be bodywork, but full disclosure,I've seen no signs ofrepair or body issues.The body is solid.However,thestockfront suspension, and steering, areworn outand ready for a rebuild.Same forthe clutch linkage.All due to age and wear. Lights, turn signals, horn, andstereo work but the underdash wiring is rough.Heater on/off and reverse lights are toggle switches. The gas gauge works but it's not accurate. A wiring upgrade is strongly suggested.Thebrakes arethe originalfour wheeldrum and work well. I usually just cruise the car but it's been panic stopped. The parking brake alsoworks well. The steering is manual.The trunk is clean and painted the same white as the exterior. The rear shock mounts in the trunk floorare intact.Note, the shifter T handle was changed to a ball.It shifts better and the T handle would come loose.This is a true old school hot rod. I think it'sthe nicest design of the tri-fives.It needs some standardwork to keep it on the road.For more information call/text Nick 610 220 6487. Selling as is.
