Up for sale is a 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible Monza 900. Selling for my Father who has owned it for the last 15 years. He has not really drove the car that much. It's in great shape for being 54 years old. This car has a lot going for it. It's the first year for the convertible, it's an automatic transmission car, and has a 6 cylinder engine making this beauty desirable. I do not know any history of the vehicle, but appears to of been re-painted. The good - runs and drives good, shifts good, looks great, newer top within the last 5 years. The bad - radio does not turn stations, drivers quarter glass is cracked, leaks oil, some weather stripping is old, and has spark knock? I asked my Dad about the knock and he said it's made that noise since he bought it. I googled the knock and oil usage and sounds like they are characteristics of these cars. I drove the car 120 miles round trip to a car show and it rode and drove great. There is an extra steering column that is in the front compartment, don't know the history behind that. Please ask any questions you may have and I will try and do my bestto answer them. Thanks.
