1951 Chevrolet 3100 1/2 Ton Short Bed 5 Window Pickup Truck * Please scroll all the way down for 93 more full sizedetailed pictures * Up for auction is a beautiful 1951 Chevrolet 3100 1/2 ton short bed 5window pickup truck. This is an older restoration that I have recentlygone through and made a very nice driver. It gets looks everywhereyou go! This would be a great addition to your old car collection!Drive Train: Chevy Inline 6, full pressure 235, out of a 1955 ChevySM420 GM 4 speed transmissionOriginal torque tube driveline and rear endSuspension & steering is all stockBrakes are rebuilt with new drums, pads, wheel cylinders and hoses. The master cylinder was rebuilt as well. The truck stops great. Interior: The interior is all original style with gray headliner, door panels andsteering wheel. The original seat is re-upholstered in a blue to matchthe interior. A new rubber floor mat has been installed. The gaugesare nice and clean and function as they should. The original heateris in working order and has a new switch. The speaker grill, ashtrayand glove box door are chrome. The dome light works. Everythingis in working order. Exterior: The truck has a very nice hard to find Fulton sun visor, 4 brand new,600 x 16, Coker Classic wide whitewall tires and tubes. The originalhubcaps and trim rings set off the wheel combination. The truckhas a very nice chrome grill and front and rear bumpers. The olderpaint shines up real nice but has some cracking and a few dings andscuffs. It just adds character and patina! The headlights, parkinglights, taillights and brake lights all work as they should. The woodin the bed is solid. The chassis was completely restored at one timeand is not rusty like most trucks are. Under the Hood: The Chevy 235 full pressure engine was removed, detailed andpainted, new gaskets were installed and the engine wasre-installed with new motor mounts. A new water pump andfan belt were installed. There is a brand new aluminumradiator and new hoses. It stays at a steady 180 degrees.New pre-bent fuel lines and vacuum advance lines. Thedistributor has been rebuilt and new points and condenserwere installed. There is a new coil, coil resistor & new sparkplugs. The carburetor is rebuilt to original specificationsand a new gas tank, sending unit, fuel lines and fuel filterare installed. The original oil bath air filter has been cleanedout and has fresh oil in it. The generator and regulator arein working order and charge like they should. All of thewiring has been cleaned up and is in good condition. All ofthe old wiring has been replaced. This engine runs quiet anddoes not smoke or hesitate. I have a video of the motor running. Message me for the link. The transmission is a 4 speed GM SM420. It has been cleanedand re-installed with fresh gaskets and new oil. It shifts great. New gaskets were installed in the torque tube. New parts on this truck include: New Coker Classic wide whitewall tires & tubes – mounted andbalanced New brake drums, wheel cylinders, hoses, pads, rebuilt mastercylinder New gas tank New pre bent fuel and vacuum advance lines, fuel line and fuelfilter New aluminum radiator New radiator hoses New oil filter hoses New battery New starter New points & condenser, coil, coil resistor, spark plugs New fan belt New stop light switch New heater switch New temperature gauge New horn relay New throttle & choke knobs New rubber floor mat Overall, this is a very nice truck and it’s ready for cruising.
