Description of 1957 Chevrolet Other Pickups Short Bed |
1957 Chevy Truck, Big Back Glass, short bed. Perfect rat rod, or with more work, a show truck. Truck is driveable but no glass is installed, so you’ll need to trailer it home. I bought this truck three months ago and planned to finish it as a rat rod. A week after I bought it I found a 46 Chevy truck that I wanted to build more. I’ve put some time into little details but I’m willing to let the truck go very reasonably so I can move on to the 46. This is NOT a perfect truck. It IS a perfect truck for a rat rod. There are some rust spots in the floor, cab corners and hinge pockets. The bed has lots of surface rust (patina), but is pretty solid overall. If it doesn’t sell this week I will take it to the next level and finish the interior, install the glass and get it on the road. I would rather sell it now than spend more time on it. I only have room for one project in my garage, so it needs to go before I can start on the 46. At the risk of scaring off a picky buyer, I am including current, accurate pictures, flaws and all, so you’ll know what you’re getting. I have perfect feedback on eBay and I want to keep it that way. I have about $17,000 in receipts from the previous owner and that doesn’t include the price of the truck or the countless hours of labor to get it to where it is today. If you’ve ever built an old car you know how long it takes.
