Description of 1981 Chevrolet Malibu

Selling my 1981 Chevy Malibu with a built 355 small block edelbrock cam and intake flat top pistonsholley 700 cfm mechanical carb high volume oil pump with deep 8qt oil pan 2 row oversized aluminum radiator with electric fans summit racing brand distributor with digital ignition box fabricated aluminum valve covers. Transmission is a Saginaw 4 speed with a hurst shifter and centerforce clutch with hydraulic throwout bearingalso has a lightweight steel flywheel. Rear axle is the stock 10 bolt with upgraded 3.42 gears. Suspension has all new bushings and springs front and rear and the front has new shocks and steering idler arm as well. Car hasa 15 gal aluminum fuel cell and the battery mounted in the trunk. fuel system has all aluminum line and braided ss hoses with aluminum AN fittings. It wasstripped to bare metal and sealed before being painted which is when the 4 inch fiberglass harwood hood was installed. Almost no bondo anywhere on the car. Paint jobs not perfect but with a good wash and wax it looks pretty sharp yet. Interior has new carpet and headliner along withfront bucket seats from an 80s Camaro. All autometer gauges. Almost new tires on original 68 corvette rally wheels. Car needs a speedometer cable which I don't have and it needs some of the exterior trim put on which I do have including the installationclips. Car also comes with an extra set of bumpers and door glass, plus a bare nose piece from a 78 and a box of other small miscellaneous interior and exterior pieces. I've owned this car for 10 years and had several parts cars during the build purchased with a bad head gasket in the original v6from an older lady who told me the mileage was correct but I have no way of proving that. Its definitely one of the cleanest Wisconsin G bodys I've ever seen before it was painted. I don't drive it much anymore which is the reason for selling. It runs and drives great and I still make sure to run it occasionally to keep everything loose but I don't have time to enjoy it anymore.Reserve set at what I have in it, which is less than its worth in my mind.
