Description of 1967 Chevrolet C-10 Short Small Window |
Odometer shows about 76,000 miles. Could be original miles as the doors shut nice and it runs great. It has sat outside in the Pacific Northwest however so the elements have done their work. This little gem started life as a rare factory short wheel base cab and chassis. It had ‘special paint’ as noted in the SPID, Service Parts Identification label. It may have been a fleet order for GTE Telephone as the maintenance sticker on the glove box door suggests. Major options were; 292 6 cyl engine which I believe is still original in the truck. It starts instantly and purrs like a kitten. These motors a really torquey and have plenty of grunt to move this truck along. The factory 4 speed truck trans with ‘granny low’ is also still in it and shifts perfectly. It has RV JR mirrors which are somewhat desirable and allow you to see around the wide utility box. The HD springs option in ’67 also got you 16 inch wheels. These wheels are available although it has nicely powder coated 15 inch wheels on it with nice tires now. The oil bath offset air cleaner was gone when I found this truck but I do have an NOS one that will be available to the winning bidder. All the locks work on the utility bed doors and comes with a common key for all door locks. It has typical rust for these trucks. Rockers and kick panels need replaced like they all do. However, the driver’s fender is nice as is most of the passenger fender – except for the lower front cup. Cab corners are pretty solid with just a bit of bubbling starting. Around the windshield looks worse than it is. I have replaced the glass in trucks that looked like this and they turned out fine. If you intend to make this a fleetside bed truck I also have a pair of bedsides and tailgate along with bed cross sills for a wood bed that are available. Obviously it was a fire truck at one time evident by the super cool ‘911’ and ‘Dare’ logos hand painted on the side. I expect with some careful removal of the rattle can paint on the doors the Fire Department logo will be exposed. Also available to winning bidder are; new windshield with new gasket, new inner fenders, rear 2 inch lowering blocks kit, rear air bag kit, complete replacement steel dash, inner and outer rocker panels, and 22x9 steel wheels On Dec-06-16 at 11:21:57 PST, seller added the following information: Here's a SWB utility truck from SEMA 2016: https://youtu.be/kHjLWJQT2ww |
