Description of 1987 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

CRYSTAL CLEAR TITLE in hand. 1987 Chevrolet Silverado SWB 4X4. Dana 60 and 14 Bolt with 4:10 gears. 2005 5. 3L engine with approximately 106K on it. It had 77K when I put it in approximately 4 years ago. Factory fuel injection was retained and the engine harness was modified to be a "Stand alone" system. Drive by wire pedal was used and not converted to a cable throttle body. The engine was professionally tuned by Sam Daffron Race Innovations. The tune. ceramic coated headers and a fabricated cold air intake should help this engine to produce about 330 horsepower. 2005 4L60E transmission with approximately 73K on it. It had 44K when it was initially installed 4 years ago. The transmission is controlled by the engine computer. Transfer case is out of a 90-91 Suburban and was used because it has a VSS (vehicle speed sensor) needed. I don't know the mileage on it but it was inspected and resealed before it was installed. The 14 bolt is from a 2005 2500hd and retains the factory disk brakes. Needs emergency brake cables fabricated for it and I can recommend a company I was going to use to make them. This rear axle is within a 1/2 inch of being the same width as the front axle. thus eliminating the appearance of the truck going down the road sideways when riding behind it. 2 1/2" Skyjacker "Softride" suspension system. which included new rear springs. No lift blocks. Skyjacker shocks and dropped pitman arm. All new parts on the front axle to include all steering parts. calipers. rotors and pads. New brake pads in the rear also. Racpak digital dash that has tachometer. speedometer. fuel level. oil pressure. water temperature. voltage. trip odometer. turn signal indicator. high beam indicator. brake indicator. Kenwood receiver with Kicker 6x9 speakers in the cab corners. Kicker 3 1/2 speakers in the dash and a powered sub under the seat. A/C. cruise control. power windows. power door locks and delayed wipers all work. Windshield washer is the only thing that doesn't work and that's because I never tried to get it working. New paint. No rust repair was needed. Any holes that were in the bed rails were repaired. Interior of the bed appears to be in excellent condition. I have not had the bed liner out of it but I don't see any dents in the floor of the bed or the wheel wells when looking at them from underneath. The front bed panel was straightened when the truck was painted. but its still bent slightly. The old tailgate was damaged and was replaced with a GM tailgate. not an aftermarket tailgate. The wheels are 30-40 years old and are the 16. 5x9. 75 turbine style wheels that have been powder coated gloss black. I've seen these wheels on Ebay that have been "Reconditioned" for $1100. 00 - 1250. 00 for a set of four. Tires are 33x12. 50x16. 5 BF Goodrich All Terrain with less than 10K miles on them. Interior needs some work. It has the factory sliding glass window that actually latches (Latch is not broken). All glass and mirrors are in great shape. Side glass is not scratched up as is common on these old truck. No dents in the side mirrors. The passenger mirror is the "Objects may be closer than they appear" type that its supposed to be. I completed the engine. transmission and transfer case conversion approximately 4 years and been driving it every since. I installed the axles. lift. wheels and tires a little over a year ago. Runs great. starts great. Drivability and reliability is outstanding. I've never taken the truck into the woods or the mud. The man I bought the truck from bought it to drive when it snowed. but I don't think he ever got to. It don't snow here much. He had owned the truck for several years but I don't know exactly how long. I listed this truck on Ebay once before I had it painted. They kicked my add because I listed it with a clear title. The Experian Auto Check stated it should have a salvage title. I have in my hands a crystal clear Georgia title. I know the truck has been in at least one minor fender bender because when I bought it I had to put the right front fender and front bumper on it. I've had this truck. mechanically. completely apart and spent more hours under it than I care to remember. I've not seen 1 ounce of evidence of any frame damage in any way. either current or previously repaired anywhere on it and I've looked from one end to the other multiple times. You are welcome to inspect it yourself or have it inspected. Chris 423-605-0806.
