Description of 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS (Rally Sport)

Here you go folks, our 1967 RS Camaro! This car was an original barn find located and purchased for my bride of 35 years, only to now let her go to fund another project! This RS, which will celebrate 50 years next year, still retains the original interior, otherthan the carpet in which we replaced when we firstgot it. Seats, headliner, door panels, dash pad, etc is all original. I only tell you this, so you don't expect a show car interior. The speakers in the door panels and aftermarket radio were in there when we purchased it and dont work. Powers up, but no sound. All interior lighting works, with the exception of the dome light. It still had the original 327 with 2 barrel carb, air filter housing, smog pump and tubing, exhaust manifolds, etc., etc when we purchased it. We ran it like that a while, and decided to pull it to rebuild, but then got anxious, so stuck a little 305 I rebuilt for my son in it to get it back on the road. Added some new jet hot coated headers, new vintage valves covers, breather, and new dualexhaust from the headers back. I had the original 2 speed powerglide rebuilt approx a year ago, and shifts just like it supposed to and goes down the road just fine at 65 mph all day long. It had manual drum brakes all the way around, with 14" steel wheels and hubcaps. All this has since been replaced. I've installed new dropped spindles up front, drilled/ventilated disc brake rotors on all 4 corners, new power brake setup, Hotchkis lowered springs front and rear, as well as new sway bars front and rear. This suspension is tight, and corners great. I've also installed a new power steering box and hoses, as well as installed a new fueltank and sending unit. The original windshield had some glaring in it, so I just replaced it with a new sun shade windshield, seal and trim clips. The last thing I was attacking, was the headlight doors. I've replaced the motors and limit switches, but still fighting these. You can finish these up!Camaro sits on a set of BOSS 18's up front and 20's on the rear with new tires. Body wise, this Camaro is exceptional for an unrestored car of almost 50 years. The only rust in the trunk is around the back side of the pass rear wheel well, and a portion behind the rear pass wheel as pictured. There is a very small amount around the rear window trim. The floors, inner and outer rocker panels, lower windshield cowl area, lower fenders, etc., etc are all rock solid and have never been repaired! The car had its color changed back in the early eighties. She has numerous small ding and dents as pictured. This is how we enjoyed driving and showing it. It does great among$60K+ restored Camaro's!I have the original 327, wheels, hubcaps, brakes, etc that all go with the car to the new owner, just in case. If your looking for a solid, RS Camaro, this is it!

Appreciate all the interest. I have had our Camaro up on our lift, and it has never been hit, all gaps look to be original, door hinges are good with no sag. You'll be blown away with the condition of the floors, rockers, cowl, radiator support, etc.. You can fly in and drive her home. I also replaced all shocks and ball joints with new when upgrading the suspension. We just enjoyed it as a driver. Would not take much to take it to the next level! Thanks again for looking.
