Description of 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Factory yellow ,4spd & orginal |
This is a 2 owner car that has been insured with HAGERTY and driven less than 2500 miles per year while being stored inside so despite its single repaint 20+ yrs ago I personally would describe this Stingray as an originalhigh quality driver. It's just been well kept & serviced forit's 45 years with 2 owners that would replace anything that needed mechanically as well as cosmetically. But to give you an idea of how this car was drivenor should saytreated, take a look at its newleather interior & newconvertible top. Except now let me tell you that neither are actuallynew and in fact they were both updated over 10 years ago. I couldn't believe it when I found the 2006 receipt, I checked all of them for white out or any deception and every single page was the original as well as froma major Corvette OEM parts retailer. I found this Stingray convertible for my buddy to drive this Spring with his 9yr old daughter on cruise night's instead of his Mercedes convertible so I know it's a great investment, it has it's original Protect-to plate, HARGERTY document's & previous policies along with their "road-side" assistance plastic ID card . Those item's along with dozens and dozens of receipt', registration's& its 2 owner historymake's it a lot easier whenbuying a 45 yr old classic car. Quite simply because there is no wondering or guessing what kind of life this Stingray has lived. It has always been stored inside, its interior looks as though its a few months old so zero cracks, tears or rips. It hasthe correct motor and close ratio 4spd, which it case you don't know first hand make's driving a 4spd classic car a thrill rather than a disappointment ( now that's my opinion but I have a wide ratio Muncie 4spd L82 1973Stingray I will let you drive and I am sure you will agree with me). The paint is fading on the hood and should be painted butI included enough pictures in all hour'sfrom sunrise to sunset so you can see for yourselves. Honestlyselling my buddy's car in February is probably this last thing I expected to be doing butsince the MECUMKissimmee Fla& the BARRETT-JACKSON Scottsdale Az collector car auction's werebroadcasting on TV (live) through most of the month of January, my buddy saw the kind of money C-3 chrome bumper Stingray's were selling for and now he wants to sellthis(rare factory yellow 4spd convertible 2 owner original Stingray)in order to buy a newer better Mercedes convertible. I know what most of you are thinking ......my choice in friends needs to change or (what a dummy) 5 years from now his new Mercedes will have dropped over 75% in value meanwhile this Stingray will increase in value50% to as much as 150%. I have watched some of my friends become very wealthy just hanging on to their old classic cars and believe me if I had the money ( I WOULD BE BUYNG THIS CONVERTIBLE MYSELF). This car is how Corvettes where meant to be enjoye, it's fun to drive, it's reliable & it's beautiful. But what it is not is a "nut & bolt pro touring modern driving" classic car, but then again its not $60,000 dollar, heck its not even $30,000 soplease don't call me asking nit-picky question's. Its rust free and the birdcage is great, brakes, wheels & tires are like new, starts right up and choke works exactly as it shoul, it even has one of those high dollar Corvette aftermarket radios that fits into the factory radio spot & has plug in's for other electronics. Other than the valve covers & air cleaner everything looks like the day it rolled off the showroom so no need to worry about anyone's poor choice add on parts. These tops are all manual so it goes up and down fine,it was just cold when I took the picture's! By the way the picture by the Golden Gate Bridge was my attempt toshow you this car looks great anywhere! Your all welcome to come to a look at it, inspect it for yourselves and contact me with any further question's through eBay or text me at five four 0 six five 0 0 four 0 one. Please leave your contact information and the best time to call you which I will do at the end of each day. This is a 3 day weekend auction with a reserve as low as about a100k mile Honda Accord & it really make's my stomach hurt that I don't have the money to buy it because someone is going to get a great car . Remember that there not many original cars left and they aren't usually this easy to find either. I thought I would list some of my Corvette and Camaro part's since eBay has a promo for FREE listings so if your wanting some great condition oem parts like LT1 or DZ factory finned valve covers, org 427/435hp valve covers, bumpers for 1st gen Camaro's, chrome distributor covers as well as a lot of brand new high performance BBC & SBC parts still in box or plastic then please check back this weekend and take a look at my other item's. If I can't buy my buddy's Corvette I am going to at least try to sell some of my part's with all the online traffic this car will create ! 1 PETER 3:8 niv ; |
