Description of 1972 Chevrolet Nova |
1972 chevrolet novaGOODS-5. 7l 350 rebuilt at a Chevrolet dealership by previous owner( trying to obtain rebuilt receipts before date of sale. it is very possible that i might not be able to get them) previous owner said there is ruffly 1000 miles on the rebuild-transmission i believe was rebuilt at the same time. it is a standard turbo 400 -hedman headers-dual magna flow cut offs-runs like a champ-new interior( cement gray with black stripes)-new headliner( cement gray)- brand new disk brakes up front-new tires with about 1000 miles on them. - powder coated stock rims-body is extremely strait-it has a cheap paint job on it. color is cement gray with black rally stripes-glass all around is perfect- decent chrome all around. might need some buffing here and there-2 sets of keys for everything(doors. ignition. and trunk)-looks at one point this car could of been a frame off restoration( frame looks to be powder coated semi gloss black. no rust any where on it. )-the body has no rust on it. its extremely clean for a 40+ year old car-the car is a heat and i believe an a/c car when it rolled off the factory. the previous owner did in fact take out the mechanism and bypassed the tubes( i don't know why he did. but it is a easy fix with a new mechanism) -clean title. with up to date registration good until next year. pink in hand-previous owner put new tacs in it. tho the old ones still work( oil temp. water temp. voltage gage) -all electronics on the car work besides the dome light in the speedo when the lights turn on( 95% positive its just a blown fuze. just don't have time for the car any more to play with it)-dome light in cab was replaced with a led bulb-trunk has a led light strip that turns on with a buttonBAD- interior dash does have rust( see picture) already looked into replacing it and its a 200 dollar piece-the dash pad leather is cracked( see picture)-passenger arm rest leather is cracked( looks to be a easy and cheap replacement) -front bumper has a slight ding in it( looks like it can be pounded out)-grille bezel is a little beat up-under the grille there seems to be relief cuts put in the aluminum( once again a easy fix)-passenger door likes to stick. but with a couple pulls it opens-rear bumper needs polishing-oil temp gage. does not work( i think it needs to be plugged in)-starter motor works. but sounds like it might need replacing within the next 10. 00 miles -windshield whipper motor needs to be replaced( 60 dollars at pep boys)-driver door seems to have some Bondo work done to it. even tho it is professionally done it cant be seen but if tapped can be heard. -transmission has a slight leek that i noticed. every time the car is done running it leaks about 1-3 small drops of trans oil and then stops. iv been monitoring it closely. it is not eating oil. seems to me the gasket might need to be replaced. over all the car is priced to sell. it runs like a champ. idles perfectly and drives better then my 2008 truck. it is a classic car so it comes with its problems( all are listed) but its a car that can be actually driven. it gets looks every time its brought out. and sounds great for a 40+ year old car. if you want to come see it in person feel free to shoot me a text or call (310)666-1182 i can answer any additional questions one might have regarding the car. thanks again. and happy bidding!! |
