Description of 1958 Chevrolet C-10 |
1958 Chevy Apache Shortbed Stepside NO RESERVE!! Truck was treated to a stock restoration within the last decade. The work was done well but it is amateur and is not perfect. Red and white paint is fresh, wood bed floor, dash paint, upholstery, all new, but there are blemishes and imperfections in these things and I want to make a potential buyer aware. Some scratches and very small dents in the paint, a crack in the bondo of the lower end of the drivers side front fender, scratches from the bed latch chains, a small tear in the seat where the key in my back pocket caught it, and other small imperfections. From 10 feet it looks perfect, but if you really start picking it apart, it is not. The AM radio is a reproduction MP3 player that has not yet been hooked up. The whitewalls are literally brand new and have less than 100 miles since changing from blackwalls. Engine is the original 235 6 cylinder with 3 speed column transmission and foot starter. Suspension has been lubed recently and brakes serviced as well. Frame and suspension has surface rust that in some areas has come through underneath the step boards of the cab. Nothing major, but yes there is rust in a few areas. The goal of the previous owner when restoring was to have a great looking 1950's pickup that he and his family could enjoy, and that's exactly what this truck is, just a great looking driver created from a sought after shortbed truck. My family and I drive it almost daily in our small town and it starts every time and is always a lot of fun. Winter's are rough up here and the truck was in garage storage for months up until this summer, so a good tune up including carb work and adjustment of lifters would help get a lot more out of the engine. Currently it's great for driving around town, but I wouldn't recommend it for long freeway trips without additional maintenance. Clean Colorado title. She's an absolutely gorgeous American pick up truck and it feels like you're stepping back in time when you hop in it. I'd love to hold on to it but home remodeling expenses are adding up and it's gotta go. Please ask all questions before bidding, I'm happy to answer them. Located in NW Colorado near Steamboat Springs. Buyer arranges and pays for shipping but I'll help where I can. Please understand this is being sold only to help build a better home for my family, so please don't bid unless you're willing to follow through. I'll be completely honest on my end, all I ask is the same. SOLD WITH NO RESERVE SO HIGH BID WINS IT! Truck is sold as-is when bidding is closed. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end with remainder to be paid within 1 week of auction end. All sales are final. Truck must be picked up within 2 weeks of auction end unless other arrangements are agreed upon prior to sale. Thank you and Good Luck! |
