1966 CORVAIR - YENKO STINGER Stage 1In 1965 Car builder. ace car driver and Chevy Dealer Don Yenko made a deal with Chevrolet for 100 COPO Corvairs. After he gained access to GM's Parts bins he sent the cars to his shop for Modifications. Thus the Yenko Stinger was born!!The Stingers dominated D Production in SCCA Racing auto crossing and City Streets across the country. This car : YS028. was originally owned by Rolly Aiken crew chief for Jerry Thompson who was D production SCCA National Champ in 67. The car Retains its original Stinger Sail panels. iberglass engine cover. nd Trans axle. It was restored mechanically by Mark Wright and Cosmetically by JD restorations.
