Description of 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
1955ChevyHandyman Wagon Chevy Handyman Wagon. Small Block 350 motor, 4 BBL Holley carb, Edlebrock covers, 4 Speed manual trans. with Hurst Shifter. Professionally installed American Autowire complete electrical wiring with warranty. Power disc brakes. Aluminum Griffenradiator. New fuel pump. Never overheats. The interior is in stock pattern and without tears but it's got stains. New vintage stereo looks original but accepts aux cord for connection to phone/music. Vintage american racing wheels. Texas car with only minor surface rust; solid and straight metal. Car runs and drives really reliably but this is not a show car, she's a "20 foot" beauty that you won't be afraid to drive and park in the local grocery store lot. Insurance through Hagerty for $25k with annual premium of $310 ...this car will appreciate as you drive it. I'm moving to a condo in the city so she has to go by April 2018.The car always starts, runs reliably, and is currently registered, insured, and inspected. No stories, issues, or BS. What's wrong with her? The rear passenger side glass has been cracked for 8 years, a replacement can be bought easily for $320 but I've been waiting for it to break all the way...maybe another 8 years? The syncro between 3rd and 4th gear is worn so you have to let the revs drop to change from 3rd into 4th gear; never bothered me because you shouldn't be power-shifting into 4th anyway. The gas gauge stopped working. The previous owner spilled something on the tailgate and it bleached the paint (see photo) I'm sure there's other imperfections but that's why this solid and sorted car can be bought for $19,500 and not $45k Price - $ 19,500 FIRM |
