Description of 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS |
1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Original SS 14 Car Small Block with Powerglide Automatic Frame and drivetrain has been done and is ready to go. Original Red car****** You are looking at an original 1964 Impala SS car. It’s not a clone car. This is an original SS Impala. The VIN plate is on the cowl and the driver side door frame post. I am selling this car for a friend of mine’s widow. So I will give as good of a description as I can based on what I see and know. The Cowl tag reads: 3C in the upper left Corner Style 64 1447 Body BW 9578 Trim 879D Paint LLA948 ACC 663 The frame is very nice on the car. The body was taken off the frame. The frame was then meticulously detailed from the front to the back. Drivetrain: The powerglide automatic transmission looks like it was rebuilt or remanufactured. It looks brand new. The engine is setting in place and looks like it was gone through from some gasket edges I see but I cannot verify this. It is a small block Chevy engine. Not sure if it is the original or not. It could be a 327 or a 350. I should have gotten the numbers off the block. The original rearend is in place. I am not sure of gear ratio. Interior: The dash of the car is in really nice shape. The dash pad looks like a brand new one. All the gauges and other controls are there. The original SS door panels are there and are nice. The seats are missing. They could be around this shop somewhere. I will be looking. Body: The body of the car definitely needs attention. It has rust in the quarters. trunk area. and the floor is basically missing. All the floor supports are there. A couple of the inner rocker sections need attention also. The trunk lid is pretty solid and the doors and fenders are nice. It comes with an extra Grille. and some other odds and end extra parts. Looks like all fo the SS badges on the trunk and quarters are still in place. Wheels seem to be the original style. The car does roll and steer. Overall this is a great start to a nice 1964 Impala SS. There are a lot of random parts for the car in the trunk. The bumpers and bumper brackets are there also.
