Description of 1959 Chevrolet Impala Impala |
THE BAD: If you need a complete parts car this is your chance to get it all in one shot. There is LOTS of rust the ONLY panels that MIGHT be good are the roof and the trunklid. Have not tried to open the trunk yet so not sure of the condition of the trunklid. Quarters, Doors, Floors, Hood, Fenders, Rocker Moldings they are all SHOT, frame is by far the worst X frame I have ever seen its completely rotted out behind the rear axle on the drivers side. THE GOOD: All of the very hard to find stainless is on the car the majority of it is in good shape just needing a good cleaning and polishing. All exterior and interior trim is there. Grill looks good. Front seat with all four trims and rear seat with speaker grill are there. Door armrests, Rear seat armrests are there. Dash is very nice and uncut and even the original radio is in place. Taillight Bezels are good, right taillight lens is good left has about a quarter sized spider crack. Front bumper is good enough for a core. Original 348 and 3 speed manual transmission are still in place. Fan shroud is there. Radiator. I have no idea yet if the engine is free or not. As I have some free time I will pull the plugs and try to see if the engine is free or not. The way you see the car is the way it was removed from the spot where it has been sitting for many years. Presently the car does not roll you will need to be creative if you want to pick it up with anything but a flatbed tow truck. Those who know how hard it is to find parts for these cars ESPECIALLY Impala parts will not sleep on this one. Part it out and these are conservative numbers Exterior Stainless is worth $1500 Complete. Interior Stainless $500 Seat Trim $400 Front Seat $500 Rear Seat $500 Rear Seat Armrests $150 Front Door Armrests $200 Roof Scallop $100 348 complete with accessories $1000 Steering Wheel $150 AM Radio $50 Front Bumper $150 Core Impala Hard top only window regulators $100 each Impala Vent Windows $100 each Bubble top roof $1000 . it has a posi rear end $650 "Historical Documents" $350 Dash $300 If it does not sell by the end of the auction I will cut it up and part it out.
