1953 Chevy Pickup *FRAME OFF RESTORTION*

Up for auction is my 1953 Chevrolet 3100 half ton short bed pick up truck. This truck received a complete frame-off restoration in 2013 and has been driven sparingly. It is registered in New Jersey with the factory VIN numbers on the factory VIN plate still attached to the drivers door frame. The truck was built to drive around town as a reliable vehicle but only has less than 1,500miles since restoration. I have never been let down by this truck.

BODY

Frame off restoration of solid body and frame. Purchased as a whole truck. All original metal and VIN plate. Excellent body to start with.

1949 doors for a cleaner look without vent windows. The doors open and close good. Good body fit. Doors line up well. Occasionally on a rough road you will hear the drivers door latch rattle.

Gas filler neck and side vent on cab eliminated. Gas tank is under the bed with the filler neck and gas cap flush with the steel bed floor.

Radio slot on the dash filled in.

Bumpers were moved 2-1/2 inches closer to the body.

New emblems throughout.

Original window frame trim has been polished.

New chrome bumpers.

Tailgate chains removed and replaced with tailgate latches.

New headlights and tail lights.

Satin hot rod black paint. NOT primer (water beads when washed) Firewall has been cleaned up.

Power brake booster and master cylinder located on firewall.

New window seals, door seals, and window felt.

New welting on all four fenders.

SUSPENSION

New Mustang II front end with 2-1/2 inch drop spindles on the original frame. Manual Steering.

New four-link coilover rear suspension (adjustable).

Half ton Chevy pickup rear cleaned and freshened up.

New 15 inch wheels and tires.

INTERIOR

New Dolphin Gauges.

New southern rods A/C and heater.

Sound and heat mat used throughout.

New automotive carpeting on the floor.

New tilt steering column.

New sprint type steering wheel.

No radio, but there is place to install a radio under the drivers side in the original seat frame.

New chrome door handles and manual chrome window cranks.

Original seat reupholstered in brown leatherette material by an upholstery shop. Extra padding for comfort. Upholstery is well done and very comfortable.

Original type door panels match the seat color. New chrome interior mirror and outside mirror. New electric wipers.

All new tinted windows.

MECHANICAL

350 Chevrolet vortec v8 completely rebuilt by a speed shop. Mild Cam ( just enough lope to sound healthy)

Holley carburetor.

New corvette ramshorn exhaust manifolds.

New chrome engine parts, compressor, alternator, etc.

New aluminum finned valve covers and air cleaner.

350 turbo trasmission built by a speed shop with shift kit (shifts great) New locker shifter.

New 12 volt wiring throughout.

New aluminum heavy duty radiator built for the heat (runs cool)

New custom aluminum brake lines.

Quality parts were used throughout with extremely low miles on this build. I have hard copy pictures of the wild in a binder from the beginning to end which will be included. (Everyone at car shows loves the binder and says it makes the whole truck better)

This truck is low and loud. It never fails to draw a crowd. It runs and handles good. It is very fun to own and drive. Quality restoration performed by a craftsmen with over 40 years in the business.
