Description of 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Leather |
1973 Corvette Stingray Convertible - YouTube Video will open in a new window Up for sale is my '73 Corvette convertible that I have owned for the last 12 years. It has been a great vehicle for me, we have driven it regularly over the years and it has been in several parades. I'm selling it now as I have other vehicles and would like to find a new home for this one. She needs nothing and you could easily drive her across the country if you have a mind to. The 1973 Corvette is unique as the first year of the urethane front bumper but retained the steel rear bumper. The total production of Corvettes for 1973 was 30,464 units and only 4,943 were convertibles. This engine is the base 350 ci small block V8 with hydraulic lifters. I changed out the carburetor for a 650 CFM 4 Bbl Edelbrock with matching air filter and installed an AGI ignition. I also put on Mickey Thompson valve covers just to dress up the engine a bit. I have all the OEM parts to go with the car to the new owner. It does have the Air Induction hood so the OEM air filter will match up there if desired. Changing the distributor meant disabling the tach as it is cable driven. The tach can be made operable again by going back to the OEM distributor which comes with the other original parts that were removed. The headlights have their own vacuum canisters to keep them operating properly and can be locked in the upright position if desired. The stereo is an aftermarket replacement for the original. I feel that this car is in excellent condition for it's age, it has always been garaged and kept out of the sun. She has received nothing but TLC during my ownership. The tires are new and PA State Safety Inspection was just done in June. This is an excellent driver with only 72K miles and always runs strong, maintaining good oil pressure and coolant temperature. The 3-Speed Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission is very strong and shifts smoothly. The car tracks straight and stops smoothly. We have gone to many car cruises over the years and she is always a pleasure to drive. Power steering and power brakes add to your driving pleasure. Please view our video and look closely at our large scale photos to get a good sense of how good this vehicle looks and runs. We believe there has been 1 repaint and now shows very nicely in Medium Blue. The top is new and the black leather interior still looks very nice. We welcome inspection by interested bidders or their representatives. We are located in Waynesburg PA at exit #14 of I-79 which is about 50 miles south of Pittsburgh. I have a clear PA title in my name ready to transfer to the new owner. E-mail any questions or call John at (724)627-6741. This is a land line so no text messages please. In order to be fair to all bidders we do not disclose the reserve.Terms of sale are $500 deposit via PayPal at the end of the auction with the balance to be paid with secured funds in 7 days. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding! |
