1978 Chevy K20 3/4 ton pickup with 8 foot bed. 350 ci engine, not original. Turbo 350 automatic transmission. 4 wheel drive. Unsure of the transfer case model, but 4 wheel drive works. 8 lug axles without lockout hubs. Has gas flaps on both sides of the bed, however, it only has a tank onthe passenger side that is 15 gallons. The body is pretty clean, but does have some small rust spots which you can see in the pictures. Sale includes some sheetmetal for further repairs as can be seen in the pictures. Bed floor is solid. There is a patch that I have not yet finished on the driver side rear wheel well as can be seen from the pictures. Has a heavy-duty aftermarket rear bumper. Runs, drives, shifts, and stops good. Power steering makes this truck steer like a much smaller vehicle, even when the plow is mounted. Power brakes, front discs, drum rear. Recently re-covered and re-foamed seat that is nicer than any seat that chevy offered in these trucks. New Pioneer radio and speakers. Very nice truck, but is obviously not perfect. Comes with a Fisher plow, which has been used very little and is in good condition. Floor has Eastwood X-Mat heat and sound deadener over which i have placed some new carpet remnant. Also have a Sure-Fit soft tonneau cover that is in so-so condition. Includes a tilt steering column that has not been installed yet as seen in the pictures as well. I would drive this truck anywhere as it holds steady coolant temperature and oil pressure. I have owned it for just over 2 years and have driven it very little. I did drive it to work this past week, and it went down the road straight and smooth at 60 mph. The lights, turn signals, brake lights, speedometer, gas gage and aftermarket oil pressure, temp, and ampgauges all work. It is a solid truck that would be worth restoring, but I could also see using it as a work/plow truck, as it would take a long time for it to rust away. I had high hopes of restoring this truck when I bought it, however, I have another project vehicle as well, and just don't have the time or funds for both, so this is the one that has to go. It is an old truck, so it isn't perfect and has some quirks such as the blower motor only working onhigh, etc. The heat works good and the defrostkeeps the windows clear even in sub-zero temps. The odometer shows 78,xxx miles, which I believe to beoriginal, however, because of the age of the vehicle the state of Indiana will only administer a "mileage exempt" title. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I would also be happy to arrange for you to come look at it and drive it in person before bidding. Thank you.
