She's real fine my 409. Oh yeah, this 1962 Chevrolet Impala 409 with a fully restored presentation, dual-quad setup, and four-on-the-floor is the exact kind of car the Beach Boys would love... and so will you. We'll dive into the motor details shorty, but first, take a moment to appreciate the total package. The color is the factory-correct Honduras Maroon, but Chevy never got it looking this nice from the factory. There was a full frame-off restoration on... this coupe in 2012, and it has only traveled about 500 miles since then. So the paint is almost guaranteed to attract attention on the shine alone. Another reason why the paint is so captivating is because of the canvas used to display it. There has been a lot of time invested in getting these panels butter smooth, and then making sure there is a uniform gap fit that is held to the highest standards. In fact, this coupe really pays attention to the details. The brightwork is a great example, not only do the form-fitting bumpers shine like mirrors, but so do the headlight bezels, full-length side trim, and panel for the six-element taillights. They even put on color-matched wheels with base hub caps for a true sleeper touch (plus, a set of Goodyear bias ply tires come with the sale for that extra period-correct feeling.) So be prepared to win awards even before you lift the hood on this coupe. Open the door to a time capsule interior. The full restoration meant a large investment into making sure that the button-top seats match the door panels so perfectly. Even the striped cloth inserts on the seats coordinate with the two-color weave in the carpeting. It just proves how much they paid attention to style in the '60s, and also the meticulous eye it takes to properly restore a coupe like this. Even the correct AM radio is still cranking out tunes! A full-size machine like this gives you plenty of room to share with family and friends, but this hardtop is also great for solo cruising. The dual spoke steering wheel gives you a clear view at the full gauge panel, including ultra-wide speedometer. And the factory tach is especially handy with this stick shift machine. But of course, the feature you'll love the most is under the hood. Those fender callouts weren't lying about the big block 409 cubic-inch V8 filling the engine bay. This is the numbers-matching motor, and so the presentation should really have you excited. After all, the original V8 is surrounded by a period-correct appearance with the valve covers, bold block, and even the hoses looking like they're fresh from the Tarrytown factory. And as you dig deeper, you'll fall in love/lust with the dual set of Rochester four-barrel carburetors that made the 409 a true boulevard legend. And all of this fires up so nicely because they made sure the motor was at the heart of the restoration budget. The big block makes a terrific rumble from the dual exhaust, and the original T10 close-ratio four-speed means you're in complete control of the power and thunder. There's even a limited-slip rear end to fully enjoy this street machine. But you shouldn't just enjoy the sound of the dual exhaust; you should also see its full path in the undercarriage photos. There you can see the kind of detail a frame-off restoration provides. The full body was dipped in red, and the X-frame chassis is a contrasting black. So you can truly WOW people from every angle. The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, build receipts, and plenty of restoration photos. We love the way this car looks, but even more than that, we love how it moves. So, if you like your horsepower with a big dose of class, this Impala delivers in a powerful way. Call today!!!
