You've already glanced at the price and know that this isn't your average big block Chevelle. No, his 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 is the real deal, omplete with the matching-numbers LS5 on the side. Beautifully and accurately restored, t offers an unusual color combination, built big block so you can have some fun, nd a long list of documentation to back it all up.I don't know that we've ever seen a code 34 Misty Turquoise Chevelle before, ut now that we have, e're impressed. It's quite attractive and if you're going to build a car with this much horsepower on tap, here's really no need to advertise with bright red. And yes, hat's this car's original color, o it only made sense to put it back the way it came. The bodywork is extremely well done, ith a brilliant shine to the two-stage urethane paint, hich is far nicer than what you would have gotten had you bought this car originally. The black SS stripes are correctly applied and on the turquoise paint, hey don't immediately jump out, elping with the car's low-key look. All the correct SS hardware is in place, ncluding the fully functional cowl-induction hood with pins, lacked-out SS grille, nd twin oval tailpipes out back. The black vinyl roof adds a bit of elegance and the chrome sparkles, o you'd better get used to a crowd forming around this car wherever you go.The black interior was just as well restored, sing correct reproduction seat covers, resh SS door panels, nd new carpets. The gauge cluster was rebuilt, ncluding the original tach, nd the markings are bright and clear. The industrial-strength look of the 4-speed Hurst shifter sticking out of the transmission tunnel makes this car feel intimidating and it's worth noting that the original shifter is included with the car. There's also an upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo that slots neatly into the original radio's slot, nd again, he original piece is included with the car. Everything you can see or touch has been refinished, o it's extremely crisp and with just over 600 miles on the restoration, t remains in showroom fresh condition. Even the trunk is correctly finished with spatter paint, replacement mat, nd a correct spare with cover and jack assembly. Nice! The current engine is a 1982 454 block rebuilt to LS5 specs, hen dressed to impress. Chevy Orange paint, inned valve covers, billet accessory drive, nd lots of chrome make this a show-worthy engine bay. The engine is a very strong runner, s you'd expect, ut it's also happy to idle in traffic, uggesting that someone spent the time to sort it out. There's a polished aluminum intake, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, nd a set of Doug's long-tube headers feeding a Flowmaster exhaust system with H-pipe. The original, umbers-matching engine is included with the car (contact us for details), aking this a pedigreed car that you can actually drive as intended without worries. Underneath, he 12-bolt was stuffed with 3.73 gears to make it a lot of fun on the street, ut the original 3.36s are included with the car, oo. Obviously the restorer knew that authenticity mattered. The undercarriage is as spotlessly restored as the top side and classic SS wheels wear reproduction F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas tires.Documented with a build sheet, estoration receipts and photos, lus dyno sheets, his is a very impressive car. Built to drive without harming its long-term investment value, t really does offer the best of both worlds. Call today!
