Description of 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle

1970 Chevelle Wagon with a LS5- 454 Casting Number 3963512 Suffix code CPD its backed buy a Saginaw 4 speed manual transmission and 10 bolt limited slip rear. The car has power steering and power front disc brakes. I acquired this car on trade from a guy that did not build it so I don't know much about it just what I see from looking it over and a short test drive down my street. The engine is not stock has larger cam and 1.7 rocker arms. The engine sounds noisy from top end I would say the lifters will need some adjusting. The engine holds good oil pressure even hot its got a large oil pan and large aluminum radiator. The clutch feels good and trans shifts smooth. The body is strait down the sides but paint is older and showing some small bubbles here and there and some touch up spots I attached pictures of the bad spots. It looks good from 20 ft. The rear drivers side door will not open and arm rest is off but I have it. I think they started to remove it to see why it wont open. The front floor pans where replaced and the rest looks to be in good shape. The tailgate works good in both directions and power rear window works nice. Its got the 3rd rear facing seat too.. The wheels and tires are fair shape but showing some age and tires are older. The car drives like an old car front end should be gone threw before everyday driving. The car overall is going to need some TLC but its very cool hot rod and you wont see another Big Block 454 LS5 wagons at your local car show..If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call at 813-478-3449.
