Description of 1957 Chevrolet Nomad |
Listed this a few months back and decided to not sell at that time. Not easy to part with this rare car. This Nomad is all there. All chrome is still on car as you can see. Nothing to look for. Can't afford to do this car justice so it will go to someone who does. Took out the floor pan and was ready to put in a complete pan which I have and goes with car. Clean title in my name. New included: New complete floor pan, new rear wheelhouses (not pictured), new rear cargo area unit complete with spare wheel well still in box, rebuilt Saginaw 4 speed transmission, complete new clutch setup, new rear tailgate wire straps, Sideview mirror, new hood rockets, Grille bar not on car, brand new body bushings, Engine is I believe a 283 with 327 heads. Car was running and driving about 6 months ago, now it cranks but needs a carburetor adjustment or rebuild and distributor tinkering. It has a 2 speed powerglide that I was going to take out and replace with the Saginaw. Interior is all there including front and rear bench seats and panels that need redoing. Brakes have to be gone thru. Again this is a project. This is a canvas for you to go whichever route you wish. LS modded cars are going for over $100K. Frame is solid needing blasting. Chrome is all in need of rechroming as you can see. Good solid body not a bondo creation. Old stage 1 paint peeling and cracking in some areas.OriginalSierra gold/adobebeige car. Again this is a project needing extensive repair work. All in all this is a 6000 production total number car back in 1957. Don't think I have to educate the Nomad lovers out there as to the rarity of the vehicle. How many are leftout there? Who knows. My asking price is fair considering all the new parts that are included. Floor is out and ready for a new start. I will consider offers but will not give this car away. It's sitting in my garage not bothering me at all and not desperate to sell and I very much enjoy looking at this classic car from time to time. I'd rather have a Nomad lover like myself do this car justice instead of sitting in my garage. I will assist in loading vehicle onto your trailer and offer no shipping. I do have a trailer and are willing to deliver for an agreed price anywhere within a 700 mile radius of zip 29645. Please ask any question you may have by email or you can contact me at 8642019833.
