Description of 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu |
I purchased this Chevelle from the original owner’s family last year and have spent some time doing minor repairs. I’m ready to move on to another project so this one needs a new home. Specs: 350 2 barrel, L65, auto, power steering. Comes with Protect-O-Plate, original invoice and owner’s manual. Condition: Runs and drives great, minor oil leak at the engine and transmission, has air conditioning but it is not currently working - all A/C parts look to be there, tires have good tread but are about 20 years old, has a newer looking dual exhaust and newer looking fuel tank. Interior looks original and is in very nice condition with the usual wear for its age. Doors and windows work like they should, seals look original and are in good condition. Heater controls, turn signals, dash lights, etc. all work perfect. Includes factory looking radio but it will not turn on. Odometer shows 9363 which I assume to be 109363 but I have no records to verify The body is in decent condition with some rust showing, floor pans and trunk pan look good, there are a lot of door dings and small dents along both sides (hard to see in pictures but they are there), passenger rear quarter has been repainted at some point as the paint doesn’t match, bumpers and trim look to be in very good condition. New parts/repairs: Replaced water pump, rear shocks, u-joints, timing chain, ball joints, center link, wheel bearings, front brake hoses, rebuilt carb, fuel sending unit, battery, fan clutch, inner fenders, battery tray and belts. This is a very original, unmolested Chevelle and would be a great project to restore, mod or just drive as it is. |
