Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro |
|
Used in good condition 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. Car came from the factory in 1968 with a V6, however, at sometime during its lifespan, the engine was swapped out for a 350 small block. I replaced the 350 with a 383 Stroker crate engine (#BP38313CTC1) by Blueprint Engines from Summit Racing Equipment in December of 2016. The engine was Dyno-tested by Summit Racing to 430.6 HP @ 5,850 RPM. The torque topped out at just over 450. Also freshly installed is a Holley Model (#3310) 4 Barrel Carburetor. At the time that I swapped out the engine the odometer had 29,850 miles on it. As you can see over the past 2 plus years I have put less than 200 miles on the new engine. Only taking it out in great weather and for short distances. This past June, I installed a new Jasper Turbo 350 transmission Stock (#5855507). The transmission has less than 100 miles on it.The car is not a race car, nor is it a show car, however, it does turn heads whenever it's driven around and has no problem getting down the street. It is very fun to drive. I can't say all of the good without being honest about the bad. There is a puncture on the passengers side where it was it with a lift. The car hasn't been in the weather so no rust in this area. There are 2 areas one on each side at the very bottom of both sides where rust is starting to creep in. Very small areas. I have had the car on a lift and the underside looks fine. No rust that I have seen underneath the car. This why I have the starting price where it is. Now, for the million dollar question. Why am I getting rid of the car? 2 simple answers. #1 I don't use the car enough and I think it would be better for someone else to have some time with it to enjoy it. #2 My daughter is older and is in to cars, but this one is way too much for her. I am looking to get something a little more kid friendly for us to both enjoy. I am open to allowing you to come see the car in person if you would like. I am available most evenings and will do my best to accommodate a visit. I will even let you take it for a test run of you so choose. Email or call 3016763503 and we will set something up. I am not a dealer. This is not what I do for a living. ""NO RESERVE"" The car does not have power steering or power brakes. It is how it came from the factory. Good luck and thanks for checking out my car. |
