Description of 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS - True RS

This is a Real Deal 1967 Camaro RS. I restored this car down to the last bolt over about a 6 year period. The car was built to look original but drive comfortably and have modern touches to make it more enjoyable. I will try to list everything as best I can.

· Chevy Small Block 327 from 1968 - Engine was rebuilt 2 years ago and has about 1,500 miles on it. Runs Strong but this is not a race car. Holley 4 bbl 650 cm. Cam is slightly more aggressive than standard cam. Headers lead to oversized exhaust.

· Transmission is a 5 Speed T5 WC out of a late model Camaro. Shifter is not the standard shifter for a T5. The Power Tower short throw shift is smooth as silk and easy to shift. Overdrive will put you at 2,000 RPM at 80 MPH. No shaking your teeth out just to stay at highway speeds.

· Rear End is out of a 1988 Pontiac Trans Am. Posi-traction, 342 gear ratio and Disc Brakes.

· Rear Springs upgraded to Multi-Lear Spring system for better stability.

· Frame Connectors to stiffen the frame up. Rides like a mono-frame car.

· Vintage Air Heating and AC system installed allowing you to blow ice cold air in seconds. Heating works great and the dash system looks like a standard GM system. This is state of the art new technology for climate control in your classic car. Radiator enlarged to handle the AC upgrade.

· Front end upgraded to Disc Brakes giving you all four corners upgraded to disc brakes. All steering components replaced and upgraded. All bushings, tie rods, ...

· Completely custom interior that is gorgeous. Front seats are out of a 93 Trans Am and retro fitted and custom covered. The bucket seats hug you and are far more comfortable than the old style seats. They also have the high rise headrest for greater comfort and safety. Rear seat is the original Fold-Down Camaro Seat that has been custom covered to match the front. White seats with Blue insets to reverse the color combo on the outside. Three Point Seat Belts installed - custom. The center console is a custom made unit with flip up arm rest with storage compartment. Also has two Stainless Steel cup holders.

· The exterior was stripped down to bare metal all the way around and brought back to a thing of beauty. This car has never been in a wreck. I have seen every square inch and there is no evidence of ever been damaged in any way. The hood is a Fiberglass Stinger Hood. The paint is very good but there are a couple of small areas of imperfections and one door nick in the white stripr passenger side (seen in picture). Hard to find unless you look hard. Headliner is in excellent shape, white to match the seats. Carpet blue. Car paint color is Lemans Blue. All rubber Weather Stripping replaced. Door Seals, door jams, Roof Seal, window seals, window fuzzies, trunk seal....

· Sound System is made to look standard but is an AM/FM with input to plug in your phone and play your playlist. Two rear deck speakers and two in the foot area of the front seat.

· Viper Alarm System. Alarms if you bump the car, stick you head in the open window of the car, open either door. Also a lead that is currently not hooked up that alarms if you open the hood. Two remotes.

· Wheels are period correct old school Cragar SS 14's on the front, 15's on the back.

· Every square inch of the interior of the car has been sound proofed from the truck pan and quarter panels, to the floor pan, to the door panels to the roof. Stick on sound deadener and thermal block. Keeps the car quiet from road noise as well as easier to heat and cool. The trunk also has deadener between the trunk area and the cabin. My goal was to make the car as close as possible to as quite as a new car. While it will never be that quiet it is remarkable how much it quieted the ride.

· New adjustable shocks on the rear end and brand new battery.

· The Best Thing. New Relics Power Window System. This uses the old window cranks to act as the switch for your electric windows. Looks totally standard until you push the crank down and the window goes down. Push the crank up and the window goes up. Sweet. Front windows only. Rear are standard crank windows.

· Full gauge package. Tach, Temp, Oil Pressure. The car runs at 180-190 all the time. Oil Pressure is in the 60+ lbs constant.

· All lights work. The front RS light system (hinged doors) has never been hooked up. All parts are in, including wiring system. I just never got around to wiring it up and I can open the lights by hand. I don't drive it at night that often so it never became a priority. Easy enough to complete later. Does have a very slight oil leak from the rear main seal. Not enough I ever worried about it but need to disclose is. Car is for sale locally. If sold before the reserve is met I will end the auction immediately. Pictures of the restoration available upon request.
