This is my father’s 1963 Corvair Monza Spyder Bubble Top Coupe with a factory Turbocharged 6 cyl 150 H. P engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. If you’ve never driven a Corvair before. don’t knock it until you try it. Seriously!! This car is so light. it is surprisingly quick and really a blast to drive! You are not viewing a frame off restored 100 point AACA Senior award winning showpiece. This is a nice clean running driving classic muscle car that is very solid. straight. clean. rust free. presents and shows very well as a great driver. The paint is older. and of a good Maaco quality. But shines at any angle with much gloss and depth. There are imperfections in the finish. as understandable with an older driver quality vehicle. but as you can see from the photos. presents very well. In other words. you could still win a few trophies at local car cruises. The undercarriage is extremely clean. very solid. straight. and rust free. No holes. rust spots. bubbles. or issues. Undercoat is present. but a very thin layer which is consistent with a factory or dealer application. Everything mechanically has been updated like shocks and brakes. etc. But for the most part is still retains the original look. like stock suspension. manual drum brakes. manual steering. But for a fun affordable old school hot rod for our family and I to enjoy a couple days a week. it worked out well.
