Owned since 2007, a last generation survivor. We believe it is the original faded Madiera Maroon exterior paint with VERY nice black vinyl interior. I have done nothing to the body since I bought it in 2007. All seats and door panels are nice with new headliner and rare dealer accessory option (1964-1966) wooden 2 spoke simulated walnut steering wheel (see pic). It has three original T3 OEM headlights. All glass is good. The mileage shows 60,000. It just turned. It would appear that it is correct, but no way of really knowing for sure. I do drive it so the mileage will increase. The break-down of the vin number is" 4=1964, 06=spyder, 27=coupe, W= Willow Run plant, the last 6=number in the sequence productionThe only things I have done to the Spyder since I purchased it is: new gas tank, carburetor from a 180 turbo car, front disc brakes, 5 lug wheels with GM standard 4 3/4" bolt pattern, a set of 14" x 7" from a 1979 Malibu. The larger 14" wheels over the standard 13" and wider 7" over standard 5" width make a tremendous difference in the ride and handling of the car. Also has a new tune up, brakes lines. Included are new repo Corvair hood letters; and trunk & hood weatherstrips. This is a straight and solid body with sound floor pans. See pics of underside. Also see the pictures of the bottom of the doors...when is the last time you saw the bottom of 54 year old doors this nice!!? The only spots that have come up since I bought it are small bubbles on the front and rear lower corners of both doors and right rear lower fender. This Corvair Spyder is SO above average.I am listing this for a friend..any questions please call Mitchell at 865-924-1273. I can not help you...call Mitch
