Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Rally Sport Crossram 302 |
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Rally Sport 302 Crossram This is a complete frame off nut and bolt restoration with no expense spared. All drive train and components are original GM. The engine, transmission, and rear axle are all original "born with" to this Camaro and were installed in this car by General Motors at Norwood Final Assembly Plant in November 1968. This is an early production car, thus, it didn't come with the Cowl induction hood. However, I have painted an NOS original GM hood to perfection and it is included with the purchase of this car. Note: The ZL-2 Cowl Induction hood wasn't available until after Christmas 1968 production. This is shown in the 1969 Factory Assembly Manual. When a collector such as myself is looking for a high end original 1969 Z/28 there are many things one should consider before procuring a high end collector or investment 1969 Z/28 RS Camaro. The first order of business is does it have the original drive train or the very least the original engine. Something else to consider is desirability. Another very important facet is body color and interior plus factory options. Lastly, quality of the restoration and correctness. All of the above are meaningless without authenticity. The previous owner held onto this Z/28 for 26 years and only sold it because he didn't have the time or energy to finish this is a top notch restoration. I have listed the specifics below to further your understanding of the caliber of this awesome Crossram Z/28. NOTE: My personal delivery to certain areas of the central or eastern United States is possible. Weather permitting. The window moldings are all polished to perfection, all wiring harnesses were replaced, all new dated tinted USA glass, original Hurst 4 speed shifter with re-chromed handle, original restored dated seat belts, spiral shocks, All GM body panels, mostly NOS parts were used. The rosewood steering wheel is a nice original survivor, the blue light stereo radio is original to this car and features the correct above the glove box mounted multiplex which was only original to the Camaro. There are many other features and specifics too lengthy to mention. I don't believe I have seen a restoration of such an original car.
