Description of 1947 Chevrolet Other Pickups Patina |
This 1947 Chevrolet 3100 is a significant classic with a terrific patina look, cool custom features, the right amount of shine, and a full air ride upgraded suspension for a street machine stance. Oh yeah, you're going to turn some heads! Before we get into all the custom touches that make this truck awesome, take a moment to appreciate the significance of where this custom build starts. The 1947 Chevy AK-series trucks were part of a short half-year run of pickups that were sold to get American on the road immediately after WWII. So a rare truck like this earns respect, and that gets doubled-down with the ultra-cool worn-in patina finish. And while this has a great classic style, right down to the windshield sunshade, you know that's not all. The clear blue-dot headlights, spotlight, and bright GMC grille all let you know there's something much more going on here. And the Native American skull headdress airbrushed on both doors really gives this special truck a true soul. Plus, those polished modern REV alloys are not only staggered at 18/20 inches front/rear for an aggressive stance, but also you get to watch jaws drop to the ground as the full air ride suspension lets you lower this pickup to the ground. More of the cool patina continues on the inside with the door panels and dash. You have the classic Chevy steering wheel, and even the windshield pops out for old-school ventilation. And the cowhide seat cover looks like you came fresh from the farm. But items like the full Dolphin gauge package and B&M floor shifter let you know there's something upgraded in the engine bay. The butterfly hood will attract attention all on its own, so it's nice to have something good to look at within. The 350 cubic-inch V8 is larger and more powerful than anything Chevy was offering in '47. Plus, it has been further upgraded with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and long tube headers feeding a rumbling glasspack-style dual exhaust. And as you look underneath, you're going to see great upgrades, like a Camaro-style independent front end and a four-link rear w/stabilizer. Add in a strong TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front, and this patina classic is easy to show off everywhere. With less than 2,600 miles on the whole build, this is a worn in look with a ton of modern thoughtfulness. It's a cool patina truck with many stories to tell. So don't let something this distinct slip away, call today! |
