Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute |
A well-done restoration with low-mileage on it makes this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute instantly attractive. But as you dig deeper, you'll see the serious V8 power, overdrive transmission, and great details that makes this one absolutely irresistible. LeMans Blue is an ideal color for an SS tribute like this. After all the racetrack-inspired name goes well with this high-performance look. You can tell they invested in quality with the paint during this car's restoration, and its hint of metallic looks great in the sunlight. It really helps to highlight the straight panels and nice brightwork. You have nice classic details, like the fog light front end, full width spoiler, and the D90 hockey stick stripe done in white to look fantastic against the blue. Besides the classic good looks, there are some features for added distinction. The faux velocity stacks in the hood are a first-gen piece, but we rarely see them on a '69. And the solid Centerline wheels not only have a nice polish, but also there's a competition-style look that's enhanced further by the extra tall and wide rear ones that give this an aggressive stance. The interior shows more of the best from the first-gen Camaro. It starts with an upgrade to the houndstooth seats. And these iconic fabric inserts look complete, including the button-top presentation. They invested nicely in the door panels, carpeting, dash, and all the other details to have a carefully crafted look. In fact, this has a really great vintage feeling, right down to the center console with wood-like paneling and a Horseshoe shifter. Plus, you have some well-integrated upgrades, like the auxiliary gauge trio and the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette. Lift the hood to see a tidy presentation that's full of power. This 355 cubic-inch V8 has been upgraded with go-fast goodies. It includes a Holley 750 CFM dual-feed four-barrel carburetor, hi-rise intake, and Hooker long tube headers that add to the power while also contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. This motor was rebuilt only about 10 years ago and there's only about 1,000 miles on it since. So it's a serious powerhouse with even less mileage on it then the restoration miles! It even has a proper aluminum radiator to help keep it all running cool. The transmission offers the best of both worlds as it's a stout 700R4 unit that has a 2500 stall converter for performance, and at the same time, it can also deliver overdrive comfort. This is a proper performance build, and so you also have more great upgrades like subframe connectors and Wilwood front disc brakes. Complete with owner's manual, this is a great-looking build, right down to the ultra-clean undercarriage. So it you love a cool Camaro with both power and distinction, call today! |
