Description of 1956 Chevrolet Other Pickups -- |
The 1956 Chevrolet 3600 is the kind of truck that offered more over its 3100-series brothers. And so you see that here with a classic that also delivers more style and upgrades. But it never loses that vintage heart where it counts, including the powerhouse in the engine bay and all that chrome. This is the kind of truck people instantly remember. After all, the two-tone blue and silver is a modern look with plenty of metallic to radiate in the sunshine. You'll even love the details, like the black stripe dividing line that tapers in the front. Mirror-like chrome bumpers, glossy real wood in the truck bed, and the well-preserved sheetmetal on this curvy step-side truck also show that they made sure to invest in the vintage pieces, too. The tall stance looks good on this longer wheelbase 3600 truck. And those polished Helo 16-inch wheels do a terrific job of tying the whole theme together with a modern look that's also beefy like the 3600-sereis trucks. Inside, the exterior blue returns for more of the great upgraded look. And those two high-back bucket seats offer a ton more individual comfort than anything you got in this '50s. There's even a modern sports steering wheel on a tilt column for more added comfort. And just like the exterior, they still left room for vintage style. That's why the dash has a classic look, right down to the fan-style Chevy speedometer. It's even hard to first spot the AM/FM radio upgrade, because it's a well-integrated retro-style unit. Under the hood is where the full classic package is really shown. The 235 cubic-inch straight-six is the year-correct block, and it's even believed to be original to the truck. The paint, wires, and overall presentation tell you there have been the right investments in respecting Chevy's famously steadfast motor. You even get the proper oil bath air cleaner. But just like the rest of the truck, you'll also spot worthwhile upgrades, like the 12-volt electrical system with electric fuel pump and alternator. The four-speed manual transmission gives you full control over this straight six. The total package fires up cleanly, runs nicely, and shifts crisply. So this distinct pickup is also nice to drive. This is a cool extra-duty truck with extra flair, and it's still vintage in all the right places. Don't miss out, call today! |
