Description of 1933 Chevrolet Other Street Rod |
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this very custom, very unique 1933 Chevrolet Custom Street Rod. Not many other street rods can compete with the level of completeness, and qualities this one shows. It is a 1933 Chevrolet Coupe that received a complete frame-off restoration in the 1990s. Except for the rear fenders and running boards, this awesome street rod is all steel. As with any custom build, appearance is a top priority and it is very apparent that this is no exception. It is finished in Maroon with silver pearl, over White with silver pearl paint job that was professionally applied. Power comes from a Chevrolet 350Ci V8 that originally came out of a Monte Carlo. It features a Webber carburetor, electronic choke, and EGR. The engine also features a Lokar Hi-Tech throttle cable, and VDO fuel sender kit. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH350 automatic transmission and a Ford 9'' rear end. All of these work together to create a drivetrain package that is sure to provide not only the speed and sound that street rodders desire but also reliability which allows this 1933 Chevy to be enjoyed all the time. Not only does the engine make ample noise and power, but it also looks stunning. Nearly all of the visible engine components from the air cleaner, to the dipsticks, are finished in either chrome or polished aluminum. This means that the engine shines brightly in the sun under the Root-Leib three-piece peaked hood. While street rods look great from the outside, they must also be comfortable on the inside to make them a joy to drive. This 1933 Chevy Street Rod is super smooth and comfortable thanks to the careful attention the interior has received. Comfortably holding the driver and passenger in place are two grey velour bucket seats with Juliano's seat belts. An aftermarket Air-Tique air conditioning and heater unit have been added and blows strong through the three vents in the dashboard. A Banjo steering wheel sits atop a tilting steering column allowing for optimal driver comfort. To make the gauges accurate and easy to read, a VDO gauge unit was installed which provides a classic look with modern technology. Finally, you wouldn't want to be left without tunes when driving your street rod to shows across the state or country. That's why an aftermarket JVC AM/FM radio was installed. There are lots of awesome parts on this 1933 Chevrolet Street Rod that make it a dream to look at, but it also drives exceptionally well. The front suspension is from Mustang II and features tubular control arms with Heidts 2'' dropped spindles. Steering comes from a Flaming River manual rack and pinion set up, and stopping power is provided by the disc brakes upfront. One of the first things noticed about this car is the lack of exterior door handles. While there is an exterior emergency release, the primary way to get into the car is through the key fob. It features buttons to raise and lower the power windows, and even a button to open the doors. This is one of the coolest things that can be found on street rods like this as it adds a sense of class to be able to open the doors with a button. There are seemingly endless custom parts, cool features, and interesting statistics on this 1933 Chevrolet Street Rod. It has been featured some of the largest custom car magazines such as Street Rodder and has reliably driven all over the state of Michigan for years making appearances at some of the top car shows. Before the restoration started, the car came out of Traverse City, Michigan. This '33 Street Rod has been cared for to the highest standard ensuring that it looks and drives better than every other street rod at a show.
