The patina is real. and the paint is original. The body was painted with a flat clear coat. It has dents. rust. scratches. scrapes. rubs. which all add to the distressed or Rat Rod look that is so popular. I get complements every time I drive it. I built this truck to drive. not to race. It gets 18 mpg hwy. It has the rare tailgate with the clamshell rear hatch. It has a lot of cargo space inside. The glass is all new with new rubber seals. and new felt tracks for the rear sliding windows. It also has new interior headliner. seat cover and carpet. The floor is original and solid. The drivetrain has been restored with many upgrades. It has new aluminum radiator and trans cooler. all new belts and hoses. rebuilt 250 CI engine with electronic HEI ignition that runs great. its completely rewired with all new wire harness. lights. fuse box with modern fuses. all 12 volt. front and rear turn signals added. new two-speed electric wipers. rebuilt 700R automatic with overdrive. CPP power disc brakes. new aluminized exhaust. new Monroe front and rear shocks. 3. 42 ten bolt rear end with new Morrison axles and seals. stereo with mp3 dock. and more. It drives at highway speeds. It's fun to drive! I planned to install vintage AC and Heat in the future. it already has the correct double pulleys but I have not ordered the kit. This truck runs and drives Great! Everything on it works. The back seat has been removed to allow more room for cargo. It can haul a lot of stuff. A very dependable truck.
